    1. I aplogize for the delay for getting back to this thread. I have read your comments and learned a lot. Thanks Nico, for clarification on the Spearhead. Is there any way to be sure on the origins of the spearhead, or is it too far gone? The Arrow head is a favorite of mine. It is still very sharp and I am sure that it could be used today! Eduardo, Those arrow heads are very unique. I have never seen anything like them. Thanks for the website. I will review it. Lets keep the artifacts coming. Participation and interest will contribute to the decision on the formation of a new forum. Regards Paul
    2. Something interesting... On Page 37 of Uniforms and Traditions of the Luftwaffe, Vol 2, There is a discussion on various collar tabs of Admin General Officers. IAW the forestated reference, on 19Aug44 there was a Construction branch of the Administrative Service that had BLACK collar tabs with gold embroidered triangles and wreath... So why not more junior rankings within the "Construction Admin", or even Wartime Specialists(this would explain your two sets). I learn something new every time I crack this books open! Regards Paul
    3. Those are very interesting pieces. I am not an expert on these, so I wait the words of persons more interested in these early and RARE straps. Also, I will move these to the Heer section, as these FJ Straps belonged to a Heer FJ unit! Regards Paul
    4. Amazing collection. I can tell someone has the day off!!! LOL You have so many treasures!! Where are the black Admin tabs you just picked up? I did not see them!
    5. We use them for repairing rigging and sails. I could see them being used for parachute rigging and ect. Great and rare piece.
    6. SPM, Full sized! I have not seen any full sized bars made in that manner! Nice! Ed, If your little bar wants some company, please send it over! I like the single combatant 1871!! I love both of them
    7. WOW!!! That is great information!! Thanks SPM! Only 1200 ?!?!?!? That is amazing! I will make better scans when the bar arrives. Is that mini medal bar yours?! It is a real beauty!! The combatant bars are more scarce than I would have thought. I would have guessed about 500,000+. Regards PAul
    8. This is a great thread. I did not know that the Luftwaffe played a huge part in the Antipartisan effort. I would think that it would be difficult, unless hitting a certain target, for the Luftwaffe to be involved. Unless.. the LW men were used in a field role? What was the award criteria for this badge?
    9. From what I can see from the front of the black tabs, they are great! I am envious. I am really taken back by Diane's blue admin tab. I think about it almost daily. Paul
    10. Hi Gary, I do not like the look of these at all. As usual, there is always a chance that they could be good, but I do not have a warm feeling about them. Merry Christmas Paul
    11. Interesting sets, Gary. The wings on the Signals officer are very different. Can I please see a reverse of those? Also, black admin tabs are very thought provoking. I did not see these published anywhere. Can you please post a reverse scan of these? Maybe yet another example of unexplained insiginia? I will double check vol two tonight. Regards Paul
    12. Even as a post war comm. piece, it is still an interesting addition to a LW collection.
    13. Historical relevance is something I was thinking about when I picked this up. It has only come out of the box once(to see how it worked). It will never come out again, other than as a conversation piece. I quit smoking last year anyway!
    14. Butane lighter that puts of a green flame. The red light flashes when the lid is opened
