    1. I am sorry that the Captain had to even go through this. Heck, the teenagers were not even hit. Based upon the event, they were lucky they were not. In any other conflict, they would have been considered legit targets.
    2. Most beautiful!!! Thank you. There is a part of me that likes the Labor order sets better... they just seem to be more colorful, as sophomoric as that sounds.
    3. I got this set which was brought back by a member of the US Army's 49th Military Police Brigade. The seller included one of his unit patches as well. I really love the original armor patch. All of the cloth insignia is very well worn. The Brigadier General is very worn and stained.
    4. Those are some great photos. Thanks for sharing. I would seriously get a loan to pay for that worn medal grouping above. Is it available?
    5. I think that the Silver Star Citation had the larger silver star for the Victory medal.
    6. This grouping looks as if it were just awarded last week. I have not seen a WW1 grouping in such pristine condition.
    7. Thank you all for sharing these photos and pieces. How is Sasha wearing the Order of Victory? How did he get two orders(ORS and OPW2) for the same battle?
    8. Wow Thanks Rick. Are these charts on line? Would these have continued to have been worn after 1933?
    9. Are there any men that were awarded both the Ushakov and the Nakhimov medals?
    10. I have watched it! It is a great movie. I just wonder what happened to these people after the battle.
    11. Thanks! I was asking about just what you provided. Orders, BMs, and CSMs for the participants of that battle. These must have all been awarded post war, right? Were they not all captured by the Germans? Also, I did not think that Stalin had too much positive to say about those who became prisoners of war. What was the name of the Musician Cadet(boy) who was the center of the action in the movie? What did he end up getting? Were there any of the higher orders given for this battle, or was the ORS the highest(other than the two Heroes)?
    12. I think that the armband(swastika) was grey instead of red as well, right?
    13. Are there any known orders or medals awarded for those that defended the Brest Fortress in June of 1941?
    14. That is beyond cool. I love seeing World War II veterans still being recognized. Also, it is the Soviet version of the award in the modern booklet.
    15. Yes. SS Reserve was around before the war. The insignia is very rare, but it is documented.
    16. What was that early BM awarded for? Very nice one! I have two CSMs that were originally on the red bar, but were converted, per the regulations, to the later ribbon and suspension. One is to a Jewish Quartermaster and the other is still enroute. IT is for a female combat medic!
