    1. Even in cardboard, It's probably outside by budget for an 1870 cross... (Nice item by the way)
    2. Any opinions on the authenticity of this bar? (not mine) Period made or recent put-together? Such a bar would be for a company-grade officer, correct? Thanks!

Beautiful! What is the size? Is the colorful center made up of those glazed tiles?
    4. I would agree about the casting - very 'soft' overall. And as SPM said, the hinge/pin/catch is unlike the quality setups one would expect on a period piece.
    5. Not mine (but could be). Would like opinions first. The only marking is a "star" stamp on the ring. Any/all authenticy opinions welcome. Thanks!!
    6. Found this one being offered on Manion's...
    7. They're all special to Marc - he wrote the book! Superb tunics gents!
    8. Robert, for those that may not be familiar, I assume you're speaking of the Zimmermann 'light' 10 o'clock star flaw shown here?
    9. Superb trio of birds there Tim!
    10. My jaw drops every time I see that bar - congrats Steve. Scott
    11. Superb photos - thanks Jacques. Great shot of a GWL or FLL pilot or P/O badge in post #73. Scott
    12. Wow Rick - for a "new" blade collector, you've gotten off to an excellent start! Scott
    13. Wow Eric - what a beauty. Congratulations! Scott
    14. Ulsterman, is the photo you posted of the reserve LW officer above actually dated 1940? Thanks. Scott
    15. The badge that started the thread is a beauty. Interesting that the badge design does not include the 'wing tip extensions' for the applied eagle like the original multi-piece WWII badge did. Scott
    16. Here's mine - much like Chris's at the top. The cross is an 'Fr'. Scott
    17. Well done Richard - both cabinet and contents! Scott
    18. Nice find Chris. The last bits of finish are trying hard to remain in place Scott
    19. Great collection of photos - thank for sharing them. I like the placement of his EKII ribbon on his shirt in the lower photo of post #3. Scott
    20. Wow Gordon, that's one fancy document for a KVKII - a great find. Uncle Adolf must have thought very highly of Herr Bank Direktor. Scott
