Examples of Prussian orders with brilliants are out there, but are very scarce. Thies auctions them on occasion. I believe they were made as special presentation pieces for high-ranking recipients or members of a royal house. Having said that, better pictures would be in order to make any judgement on this one.

I have a document issued to an Oberst von Bose, who was the Chef of the Abteilung fuer die Armee-Angelegenheiten im Kriegs-Ministerium in 1863. If anyone could provide biographical details, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am the buyer of this bar, although it is certainly not my main area of interest. The medals are attached to the back not via hooks but have been stitched on. It all looks period, although a bit of a dog's breakfast. I don't have it in hand yet.

Hi Matt, That is an interesting spange. I have a large Godet bar with this decoration on it, it is slightly different from the one you posted and something I bought as part of a larger purchase. It was shown in a previous thread by Noor, perhaps someone with more computer skills than I can dredge it up.

The combination is certainly okay, but the mounting seems very chaotic, and the ribbons look very fresh. Have you looked at it under black light? The value of the decorations would be about 800.00.
