Thank you for posting IrishGunner. I posted it here as it may be a European award. I have looked through a number of reference books and websites but cannot locate an exact match. The only other information I can supply is that it is: -On a German ribbon bar (Hermann Goring); -A foreign award, most likely presented to Goring in the 1930s; -The colour is burgundy/maroon with white edges (NOT red). -It most likely represents some sort of Grand Cross, but of what country or medal order I have no clue. Gentlemen, Recently I was reading about the Chinese visit to Germany in 1937. The Chinese Finance Minister Kung arrived in Berlin on 9 June 1937. He visited Hermann Goring on 11 June, Hitler on 13 June and also Generalfeldmarschall Werner von Blomberg that afternoon. Here in Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel’s memoirs (English Translation) he notes that a “high Chinese Medal†was bestowed on von Blomberg. I am assuming Herman Goring was given an award also. Are there any award rolls or record of what this award might have been? I look forward to any help you can offer, regarding this query. Many thanks Pierce
