    1. Thank you for posting IrishGunner. I posted it here as it may be a European award. I have looked through a number of reference books and websites but cannot locate an exact match. The only other information I can supply is that it is: -On a German ribbon bar (Hermann Goring); -A foreign award, most likely presented to Goring in the 1930s; -The colour is burgundy/maroon with white edges (NOT red). -It most likely represents some sort of Grand Cross, but of what country or medal order I have no clue. Many thanks Pierce ' alt='' class='ipsImage' > ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >
    2. Hi Paul, Thanks for your reply. I do not think it is British. It is a medal order of some sort that has grades such as Grand Cross etc. Thanks Pierce
    3. Gentlemen, This is a mock-up of an unknown ribbon to me. Does anyone recognise which medal/order this represents? The ribbon appears to be a burgundy/maroon colour, with white edges. Many thanks Pierce ' alt='' class='ipsImage' > ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >
    4. Dear Friends, Any idea if this is a Reichsparteitag Badge? If so, what year? Best wishes Pierce

    9. Thank you for your prompt reply. Are all grades "with swords" uncommon? I have seen a few WW2 German Generals wearing this decoration with swords (Commander Grade).
    10. Gentlemen, Just a quick question regarding the Finnish Order of the White Rose. I have seen lower grades of the Order with swords running diagonally through the cross, but wondered if the GRAND CROSS came with swords? I cannot find any photos, just images of the Grand Cross without swords. Thank you Pierce
    11. Gentlemen, What is the correct name for this SS device worn on the right hand side of the tunic? What was the purpose of it? Thank you Pierce

    16. Gentlemen, Not a book recommendation but a request for assistance. Does anyone have a copy of The Complete Blue Max by Kevin Brazier? If so I would appreciate a PM. I would like to check something in relation to two of the Pour le Mérite recipients that should be mentioned in the book. Many thanks Pierce
    17. Hi Tony, Here is the front. I think Werner von Blomberg is wearing the 1937 Reichsparteitag Badge here.
    18. Gentlemen, Can anyone translate this word for me please? Thank you P
    19. Gentlemen, Recently I was reading about the Chinese visit to Germany in 1937. The Chinese Finance Minister Kung arrived in Berlin on 9 June 1937. He visited Hermann Goring on 11 June, Hitler on 13 June and also Generalfeldmarschall Werner von Blomberg that afternoon. Here in Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel’s memoirs (English Translation) he notes that a “high Chinese Medal†was bestowed on von Blomberg. I am assuming Herman Goring was given an award also. Are there any award rolls or record of what this award might have been? I look forward to any help you can offer, regarding this query. Many thanks Pierce
