    1. Greetings Gents, there is a nice auction running for a pure Silver Yugoslavian Partisan Commemorative Award on Ebay these days. Looks decent and it's low numbered !! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160543979327&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_1463wt_1139
    2. First of all, not it's not the same Cross. This FA I Cross is ok, a private purchase of course ,means Post -WW I ,it's from Brass Non-magnetic. All these pieces had problem with the catch and seems it broked easily as I have seen many of those with such problem. Pin, well, what I can say more that it's not his,it's a replacement. In all ,not a piece that I would like to have in my collection, but it's up to you to decide...
    3. Nice medal Balkanphila and great Mini's guys too. Dear Milan, glad to see you back in this forum ,as there was rumors in collector's cycles that you sold in bulk your complete collection. Are you back once more with some nice pieces? In any case, glad to see you around my friend ;)
    4. This is a medal from Serbia Principality era, the Military virtue medal that Prince at that time Milan I Obrenovic establish after the "Timocki" revolt in Serbia. That revolt was a very interesting part of Serbian History with bloody political turnout, under the blanket of gathering the weapons that common people had in their possession, with the new law that the Prince establish, he manage to deal with a lot of political figures that had influence that period in the country, mostly the Radical Party under M.Panic. Medals have been awarded in 1884 to Officers and soldiers that help to surpass the revolt and those early variations was made in Vienna , one of these mark makers was Christlbauer. This is the first type of Medal for Military virtues from mm Christlbauer -Vienna in great condition for it's age.
    5. Nice Noor, great addition for your collection. These Order-crosses are one of the best craft-works that came out from Huguenin workshop in my humble opinion. Here is my example in absolute Mint condition.
    6. Thank you Noor for your comment, this Medal Bar has a name behind though, as I purchase it directly from the family. It belonged to Division General Dragisa Pandurovic ,Commander of the Duvan Division of Belgrade, who during WW 2 took assignment to command Trglav Division of Ljubljana and face direct the Germans. He was POW in Germany after his capture and spend that time in a POW camp in Mainz as I'v been told and he stayed in Germany after WW 2 , seems he didn't wish to come back in the Communist Yugoslavia. As for Josef's comment (nice Oblic medal that one indeed by the way on Ebay ) I guess he might assume that the Serbian commemorative medal for Albanian retreat on my medal Bar is Gold, but it's not ,it's just Gold plated ( spend 1 gr of 18K Gold as these medals weight 16.70 gr and this one is 17.65 gr. ). I assume the General wanted to have a full gold appearance on his medals, starting from Milos Obilic and ending at Peter's I B' Balkan War cross ;)
    7. Here is a Milos Obilic Bravery medal in Gold ,30 mm variation ,awarded twice , of a Serbian, later Yugoslavian Kingdom General on a medal Bar of mine. Hope you like this medal Bar
    8. Yes, the small variation 30 mm, awarded for the B' Balkan war of 1913, at the A'Balkan war the Bravery medal was different, didn't called Milos Obilic, but had the image of a woman, who represented Serbia as a motherland, actually was a great design medal but didn't walk with the customs of the current time, many officers didn't welcome this and refuse to receive or to wear it,so they proceed in this change, letting a Medieval hero Knight that might lived, might not, still a legent of Serbian History, Milos Obilic to represent the value of Bravery in this medal. The large variation of 36 mm was awarded during WW 1 ,during the liberation of Northern provinces (Slovenia ) and even to Montengrian troops that participate in the WW 1. The rarest variation of them all-when we talk of Milos Obilic medals of course - is the Silver Bravery medal of Milos Obilic , small 30 mm. *I include a photo of the A' Balkan war bravery medal in Gold.
    9. Dear Andrej, Personally I do not know to answer your question, as these badges have been heavily copied, this from a first look, seems original to me, ( coz I saw some copies, but we might have to do with a very good example this time) BUT, I message a good friend that happen to collect them and he knows for sure if its a COPY or not, as he is the best to answer to you in this field and I am sure he will give you a accurate answer to your question. I send him the link and hope he will come around to give you his input. Regards Emanuel
    10. Not seems.... IT "IS" original ( let me know also my dear Slovakian friend about these Bavarians as I collect them also some time now ) As for the enamel, it's not a manufacturer defect, some of them was out there in the field exposed to various war and weather conditions. Now that I took some time to make a new shot, feel free to take a pic of your new Medal Bar to see what style is (If it's Bavarian style or plain I mean) Kind regards Emanuel
    11. And this is my Bavarian cross II class from Gebrude Hammerle marked with GH on swords. Owner a brave NCO. @Avadski Is this the medal Bar you was looking for?
    12. Lauer from Nurnberg is a relative rare mark maker, here is a Bavarian cross with crown from this maker:
    13. Dear Lilo, glad to see your issue about the medal and the cross have been resolved. Bovec1313 if you ask me, is the best researcher that you can find around this moment for the Serbia and Yugoslavia Kingdom awards Era. I know he doesn't need the publicity, but he made a tromentous effort and brought a great work with his book of "Awards of Serbia and Yugoslavia from 1859-1941" by the end of 2009. I purchase this book and I was amazed from the deep research of all the variations, the pictures from the book and all the small details that a collector from this particular period should know. In short , a true bible for the Kingdom Era without doubt. I am glad collectors like you to be interested for medals and orders from Serbia- Yugoslavia Kingdom and you are always welcome
    14. Greetings, The medal is the commemorative medal for Serbian-Turkish wars from 1876-1878 and they have been awarded to all the participants. Ribbon is the correct one and original. The cross is the Serbian Kingdom "Red cross Organisation"-1876 ,ribbon is original and the proper one. The variation with the crown you mention is a late one, from Yugoslavia Kingdom SHS-Kingdom,so this cross has no damage- if you suspect so- it's just the old version from Serbian Kingdom from 1876. I cannot recognize the mm of the cross,it might be Vienna uknown maker or Roth & Neffe-Wien, but I might be wrong about the maker. Both original of course, especially the cross, high respectable among collectors. Hope it helps somehow
    15. Aye, dear Jason, this kreuz is original ,made by the famous "Hofgoldschmied" Ber. Knauer. It's the common variation that they used on medal Bars. Send me a PM with the price that this dealer sell it, to inform you if it's a decent one, I collect "Oldenburgers" most of alls from the Imperial period so you can have an opinion about the price. Regards Emanuel
    16. You do not have to upload all the time from the attach button, we use more space of our servers, that's why you have this limitation. Go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and upload your pictures there, save the link and post it here. You can even register there if you like and have your own albums. Another one site with similar abilities is http://photobucket.com/ that I use, so you have options for better and clear images. I think it worth the trouble to register. Here is my piece and you can compare them. Regards Emanuel
    17. Your Order is just fine, we could use some better -close up-pictures to verify it, but from a first look, you White Eagle V class w/o swords , mm Huguenin Freres from Switzerland, looks just fine. I could add mine if you wish ,so you can compare them....
    18. Greetings all, in the following link you can see a typical OLDENBURG FA Cross I class fake in Ebay from Germany. http://cgi.ebay.com/...b#ht_500wt_1182 And all well you can say, exept that this seller ,micelju didn't used me to sell such fakes as he is a respectable seller in Ebay and I am positive after so many years selling in Ebay, he know what he sells. But seems times are hard and someone's reputation doesn't count much any more. For us though it's vital, so here is a typical example with the usual fake Pin and "strange" crown on the obverse. I will add tomorrow the pictures, because as you all know,we loose after a period the link, but it's nice to have these photos for future reference. With respect Emanuel
    19. Great photo, I believe the one on the left is General Dragisha Pandurovic, who was Class Supervisor in Military Academy in Belgrade ( if I can say it like this in English) from 1924-1930.
    20. Great orders Paja, Can we have the name of the Mayor if it's not a secret of course... It will be great to start having a view for the Bravest of the Braves
    21. Why you claim your Country is poor? Please don't spread lies here.........
    22. ...and he need also to change after that and type machine, this one makes a shadow in all documents after typing: "i" making it look like: ii (double)
    23. Indeed Jeff, these informations are imposible to recover unfortunatelly and hard to tell even if they were received this Order at all. By the way how is Patrick doing? Hope the book he works on to finish soon, if I remember well, he works a couple of years or more on this book. Send him my greetings. Regards Emanuel
