    1. Hi, acc. to the award rolls, Koerner, Otto received the Albert Knight 2nd class with swords as Kriegszahlmeister Feldkriegskasse Etappenkommando 20 17.11.1916 The date for the Order of Merit is unknown to me. that was for sure in the last months of the war as not all awards were published anymore. Best, Daniel
    2. Hmpf... I would not trust secondary sources to 100 percent. In a prussian newspaper I ve read about an NCO, who got the Militärverdienstkreuz- it was described as "goldenes Militär- Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse" ? best, Daniel
    3. Very nice and I am sure, eith a bit effort easy to ID. Best, Daniel
    4. Peter, a very nice Godet set!!! Congratulations and David M. might get jealous. glass clear ID of a unique set of decorations. Louis Müldner von Mülnheim, he was born 1.4.1876 in Angermünde, died 26.4.1945 in Potsdam; in 1914, Captain, Adjutant of the 4th Guards Infantry brigade, later Company Commander in RIR 261, followed by an assginment in the General Staff, in 1916 ...drumrolls...he became the Adjutant of the German Crown Prince, got promoted Major, after the war he still served as the Crown Princes Adjutant and Chef of his Court Administration. Best, Daniel
    5. Hallo Stephan, I remeber, I did discuss that bar with Rick on the phone. As he did say, a quite "more than odd" combination, which I would still consider as a put together bar. The kind of "flat bottom" mounting is not 100 per cent a sign for a fake, but more than unusual The sorting of the decorations is out of any rule or common-sense sorting I do not like the combo at all, it makes no sense for me. If I shall explain it more, I would prefer to do that under the old thread, not here. Beste Grüße Daniel
    6. http://prussianmachine.com/aok/kluck.htm Lippe cross of honor 3rd class with swords. Old model, awarded from both duchies as a common decoration. Best, Daniel
    7. Thanks a lot my friends! Great stuff! Lefebvre - no idea... there was no HEK for him. If he was an active Officer in WW1, there might be a chance that he is one of the few we are still missing. v.Merveldt - indeed a HEK, 3rd class with crown and swords. All the best, Daniel
    8. I can offer only 2 names... Johann Hiemenz, Lt d.R. Dr. Adolf Hoch, Lt d.R. Best, Daniel
    9. Suhrkamp - I have only richard in my files, HOH3X and Oldenburg knights cross 2nd class with swords. No HEK for Heinrich, maybe he's got a HEK silver medal with swords, for which I have no award rolls... Best, Daniel
    10. Hello friends, thanks a lot!!! Lt dR Friedrich Craß - I am a bit reluctant to "believe" it. From the files in Doorn about awards of the HOH after 1918 there was only ONE heavly disucced case of a late award of a HOH3X for WW1. That was Hugo Rudel in 1927. Frhr. von Schade - my mistake! I did mix up 2 of that guys. Best, Daniel
    11. good stuff!! Heinrich Sunkel was Amtsgerichtsrat in Ziegenhain. Best, Daniel
    12. Thanks a lot, Chris!!! Davids- in my files I have "wohl nicht Adolf" written in my list. Maybe Dave can clear this up with his deeper view in the Baden Archive stuff. Best, Daniel
    13. I see.... Quite odd. An End-17 award of a HOH should be published everywhere... Oct / Nov 18 would be something else... Best, Daniel
    14. Thanks a lot!!!! Haase - hmpf... I have Haase as Lt and KompFhr, first name Walther. Haase, the flyer - no HOH3X in Dez.17 to him, no princely HEK as well.... H.-H. von der Osten got a Ernestinian knights cross with swords, no HOH or HEK acc. my data. Best, Daniel
    15. nice one! That MIGHT be Leon von Müller, from IR 76, in WW1 General Staffer, retired as Major, recalled for WW2 and made Colonel. Best, Daniel
    16. FAA should be FA(A)... my mistake, Flieger Abteilung Artillerie, Berger was an Observer. Best, Daniel
    17. very nice!!! No proper ID at the moment. Is there a chance, that this is Rudolf von Busse, although he should have a pilots badge from WW1... Best, Daniel
    18. Thanks a lot!!! Berger, Wilh. - most likely the FAA 209 guy Briese, Carl - acc. my data plm, RAO2EX, KO2aX, but no HOH. As he was already a GenMaj in Aug 14, he was way too senior for a HOH3X. Next step would be the HOH2X but no proof of that. Best, Daniel
    19. Hello Friends, thanks a lot! I agree with Söderbaum about Kölker, Beaulieu - no, I do not think so. There were some cases, even late in the war, that the plm was awarded without a previous HOH3X. I had him quite long on my "suspects-list". Best, Daniel
    20. Most likely that bar belonged to Gustav Seelmann-Eggebert, 1868-1949 In 1914 he was a Major in Telegraphen-Bataillon No. 3, later Armee-Nachrichten-Kommandeur 5, latest rank LtCol. uo to 1914 all his awards are present at the bar: Red Eagle 4 with X, Crown Order 4, Long Service Cross, SWA, China, Hess. Philipp knight 2nd class. In WW1 he could add the "usual Iron Crosses", Bavarian Military merit Order 4th class with crown and swords and Wuertt. Order of the Crown knight with swords Best, Daniel
    21. For me it looks nice and legit. 1st place ist most likely a RedEagle Order 4th class with swords. Last ribbon could be a hessian Philipp-Order. Best, Daniel
