    1. Slacks instead of kilts for a Highland Regement? Interesting.
    2. Wrong side of the uniform, or was the negative developed backwards?
    3. Agreed. If you're going to spend your hard-earned cash, spend it on the best that you can lay your hands on.
    4. So far pretty dismal. Too many coyotes & a deadlined truck. So far I've only fired my rifle to zero it in. :speechless:
    5. Thanks, Dan. You're a lifesaver. NGL
    6. I picked this up at an antique store awhile back, & I thought someone might be interested in looking at it. Does anyone know why the US quit using enlisted men for pilots?
    7. I screwed something up on this posting. Check the next one. With Dan Watson's help, I got it right that time.
    8. Thanks for enlarging it, Dan. You know what a putz I am with computers. And yeah; the price can't be beat. I'll bring it to DL when we get the chance.
    9. This was a freebee that I got at a yard sale. Not exactly one of Tom Custer's Medals of Honor, but still an interesting piece of our history.
    10. This was a freebee that I recently picked up at a yard sale. Not exactly one of Tom Custer's medals of honor, but still an interesting piece of our history.
    11. Dan's interest in history puts mine to shame.

    12. Thank you very much, Jim! I learned a lot more about these crosses than I knew this morning.
    13. Almost 6200 people haunt this forum, and no on knows anything about these?
    14. I've still got mine, hanging on my dogtag chain, with the dogtags, around the neck of a stuffed Garfield toy that I gave my wife when we first got married.
    15. All of the above mentioned generals were good in their own right, but for the most accomplished with the least amount of casualties, the brass ring has to go to Dugout Doug MacArthur.
    16. My Friedlander is nice, but yours really takes the cake. Very very nice.
    17. I agree. Some things should just be left alone.
    18. I am looking for information on the post-war EK's that were made for the vets from the Blue Division. For instance, who made them? Are there any manufacturing hallmarks that one can look for? How does one tell a real one from a fake? The ones I have seen look like they were made in a high school shop class in Rangoon. How long after the war were they produced? What is a reasonable price to ask for a genuine one? I remember asking these questions once before on another forum and the response was underwelming, so any information I could get now would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks.
    19. If you have a pal on the local police dept., ask them if they can put some luminal on the bullet. If there are any red blood cells on it, they should light up under a black light. Just a thought.
    20. Your points about vets is dead on, Chris. Like any other group of people, some are the salt of the earth and others you wouldn't let in your house or trust them to babysit your kids.
    21. Good thought, Greg. Since I have several confirmed fakes sitting in my tackle box, I'll hold off on making more jigs. Thanks for your time and answer.
    22. I was looking through my "toy box" this afternoon, and I found some old badges from the East German GST orginazition. Are these worth hanging onto,or should I just solder some fishhooks to them and toss them into my tacklebox?
    23. Could someone please tell me the purpose of the leather tab on German beltbuckles?
    24. has not set their status
