    1. Wow-Micha, I had to go give mine a thorough looking over again. My cross is not marked however the backing plate is very faintly marked "Victoria DRGM"
    2. It looks like "R" which would be for Alfred R?sner. I can not be 100% positive on this as I have never actually seen an R marked cross before. Mica might have an example to compare against.
    3. I like the big wing nut
    4. I agree that it is a 1870 issue piece as the EK2 is a Godet "short 7" style of cross.
    5. That is a very nice and hard to find screwback. To the best of my knowledge--Godet was the only maker of that style. I have only seen 2 others like it before. Tony J ( Tiger1) has a beautifull cased example. Congrats on a super cross.
    6. Bumped up with some updated pictures
    7. I like it. It has the right look about it and i like the slight discoloration in the lettering. BUT I also notice the difference in patina between the engraving and the KO makers mark.
    8. I have always thought that these were silvered copper not brass.
    9. Now that is just plain showing off seriously--awesome collection. I can't wait untill we can see them all.
    10. Micha, Very interesting piece. I remember seeing one on Ebay.de very similar to yours with a back piece. Unfortunately the opinion was that it was a put together piece as that seller had a bunch of very suspicious screwbacks. Yours however looks right. Nice catch!
    11. That cross is pure garbage
    12. It may have been Winkler. I definately remember the the repaired screwpost and the odd look of the DRGM marking. Still a nice piece that displays very well.
    13. Micha, I have seen this cross before. Is this one from Weitze ? I had the same question the first time that I saw it. I love the big screwbacks and almost went for this one myself.
    14. Micha, Great cross ! congrates on getting a really hard to find piece. Russel, How's that want list coming along?
    15. One of our members here has a very nice jeweller made silver Kulm cross. Maybe he could be post a picture or two.
    16. Why would anyone think that the Kulm cross would be good when his other 1813s are pure crap. I don't have any knowledge of pole tops but I have my doubts about them as well. There have been WAY too many of them on ebay lately.
    17. WOW, I learn something new every day. I bought mine from a private party at a show. for Russel------
    18. Tom, I like your "pin" back. I found it's brother some time ago.
    19. "Greedy " "Shark" I have just been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. What's up with all of the discussion of the twin post pillowback? I know that I have not seen many posted but to be honest I never actually thought it was "rare" Is that right? The cruciform backplate and twin posts always intrigued me. So much so that I display this one back side up.
    20. Interesting topic !! I personaly would like to add a Hanson (even a hoard piece would be fine) to my collection BUT the one that I really would like just because of it's eye appeal is one of the transitional 1914s with a white frosted frame.
    21. I try to find a bargin and I look for unusual or seldom seen attachments ( pins or screws) In any case the cross has to have good eye appeal to me. Not neccessarily mint and shinney ( in fact I do not own a mint or even a cased cross) but something with nice patina or good detail. I have been very lucky to find a nice variety of screwbacks and even a KMST slide type cross but all were very reasonably priced or the seller let me make extended payments. I work on a tight budget so if it's not in the right place at the right time--I pass.
