    1. Hello Lado, Many thanks for your reply. I agree; Admiral Fuchs does not fit. I have did some searching on the Officers you have suggested. Here is what I have found. - Admiral Hermann Densch (he did not have the Bremen Hanseatic Cross) - Admiral Willy Nordeck (had no WW1 German awards other than the Iron Cross 2nd Class) - Admiral z.V Otto Feige (held rank of Char. Admiral by 1937 & did not have the HOHx) - Vizeadmiral Siegfried Maβmann (I can find no information on his awards) - Vizeadmiral Robert Withoeft-Emden (I can find no information on his awards) Best wishes Matt
    2. Very interesting Christophe. My first time seeing one of these cased. Had no idea these evencame in cases. Best wishes Matt
    3. Thank you all for your comments and explanations! Thankfully my instincts are improving with regards to fake/put-together medal bars. Best wishes Matt
    4. Christophe, I was looking through my photo archive- here is a group with similar combination of decorations. Best wishes Matt
    5. Hi Mike, Do you have a photo of the reverse of the ribbon bar? The last ribbon is not NSDAP but a Faithful Service Decoration for 40 years service. Best wishes Matt
    6. This is how I felt. I could not put my finger on what it was. I did notice the stitching is a bit sloppy on the back.
    7. Regarding the ribbon bar I would say: Iron Cross Ost Medal Anschluss Medal Sudetenland Medal Romanian Crown Order Best wishes Matt
    8. Gentlemen, I was watching this medal bar on eBay. It ended at €1313.00. What is your opinion of it? To me the medals look original as do the ribbons although very clean. Best wishes Matt
    9. I too think this is the Württemberg ribbon. Very nice ribbon bar, I believe with a mis-placed War Merit Cross. Best wishes Matt
    10. Dear Roman, I believe this one was on eBay a short time ago. I do not like the "rope" that is used to sew down all of the medals. We would assume the Belgium Order was awarded pre-WW1? Can the Baden Zahringer Lion Merit Cross be awarded on that Baden ribbon? I honestly don't know but this is the correct ribbon. Best wishes Matt
    11. Quite possibly. He did have the Freiheitskreuz I. Klasse mit Bruststern, Eichenlaub und Schwertern Best wishes Matt
    12. Hello Christophe, A very beautiful new addition to your collection. I really like that EK2 device and anything with the 'Vor dem Feinde' spange is always nice! Best wishes Matt
    13. Thank you for alerting the community Naxos. What will these jokers build next. Best wishes Matt
    14. Dear Claudio, I really like this 3er medal bar. The Lifesaving Medal is difficult to find mounted. You have the most comprehensive collection of Godet medal bars that I have ever come across. Well done sir!! Best wishes Matt
    15. Hello Claudio, What a stunning medal bar. The Hohenzollern House Order is magnificent. Well done and congratulations! Best wishes Matt
    16. Hi Tom, The KVK2 only slightly detracts from the overall attractiveness of the medal bar. Given that the KVK2 is zinc, is it safe to say this medal bar was put together some from 1943 onwards? Best wishes Matt
    17. Thank you for the explanation Tom. The replacement has been very well done on the cross. Best wishes Matt
    18. Hello Christophe, It is good to see you back! These are great new additions- Saxon Kingdom/Hanseatic City....my two favourite types of ribbons on a ribbon bar. It is likely that the 5er bar is the updated version of the 4er but as Sashaw says it is hard to know for sure. On the 4er ribbon bar- are the AR2x and EK2 ribbons actually one ribbon? Best wishes Matt
    19. Tom Is the KVK2 made from zinc? It looks like the medal has lost all of its finish. Best wishes Matt
    20. Dear Tom An extremely nice addition to your already amazing medal bar collection. I find the fact that the Red Cross was "updated" very interesting. I have never seen or heard of this before. Again, well done, a real gem of history there. I tend to agree with Claudius when he says you must retrieve an Italian Order of the Crown! Best wishes Matt
