    1. Had this one for a short while and have always wondered. Be patient as I have a good 6 or 7 images I'll upload one at a time. Obverse
    2. Couple o' real beauties there Mark. I'm a big fan of the screwpost base variations. Echoes Of War shows 113,397 being awarded 11/5/42 on the North Western Front. 152,461 on 11/6/42 on the Northern Caucasus Front (18th Army)
    3. I think those numbers I found might be a little bit high. But soon enough they'll get up there. Are daggers still issued to Swiss officers and noncoms? My family is from western Germany but there is a Swiss Gaumann family. No relation that I know of but from what I've found they seem to highly intelligent. Moreso than their German (and now American) namesakes.
    4. I saw two on eBay.USA sell for $225+/- and one *not* sell for $179.00. One on eBay.co.uk didn't meet reserve at 35UKPounds (Buy It Now 215UKP). I'm pretty sure I got mine for less than $100 four years ago.
    5. Here's mine. Nothing special but I'm proud of it nonetheless. I notice the price for these increases slowly but surely. Anybody have some other Swiss daggers to share on a slow day?
    6. Well, some folk like cleaned and reenameled medals and some do not. Some will say a repaired medal is worth more, some will say its history has been destroyed. There's some truth to both sides. Ultimately it's up to you to decide what to do. If you like add an image of your new medal. If you aren't allowed yet as a new member email me the image and I'll post it for ya.
    7. I've wondered for years why the "MVK" 4th class was worth so much more than the 3rd class. Now I see it; it's not the MVK4 it's the MVO4. One more hurdle cleared before reaching my goal of omnipotence.
    8. Thanks for your help SPM. Exactly what I need. Rick, it's not a group per say, just part of my collection. Speaking of which, here's part 2 of said collection since yesterday there were some issues with posting here at the Gentleman's club. One more thing; what's "Steckkreuz" mean? Thanks again all.
    9. Gentlemen, I'd appreciate some help in identifying these awards please. But what I would like most is their full or official title in the original German including class distinction. In other words Prussische Eiserns Kreuz Erste klasse or Bayerische Kreigsverdienst Kreuze drittes klasse etc. As you can see my command of the German language is very limited so I seek some hilfe from friends here. Thanks in advance. part one
    10. Two spots I can think of in south Florida. One in Naples and one in Lauderdale...
    11. No clue about the city. But he's wearing the bar for the Red Star and what, Def o' Moscow?
    12. I love them screwpost base variations. One of them is on my list of "I wish I had one..."... Since I'm now jobless the wait continues.....
    13. There are some award booklets on ebay right now(5/30) if anyone wants to try and find a matching booklet for their awards. I know the odds are not good but...
