hagwalther Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Hi Guys,I picked this up a few years ago now and never really looked into it much.Am I right in thinking that "JWS" EKII's are desirable - I'm more TR combat badges and note that JWS also made badges in this era.I ask this due to a comments made in this thread here:http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20982RegardsChris
Motorhead Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 This is a killer set!! JWS EKs are really hard to get-and the case is a dream...I should start collecting this 2nd class cases!Micha
joe campbell Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 second what micha has said!this is another of the EK's withbeautiful, delicate features.very nice to see this combo in this condition.joe
buellmeister Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 That is absolutely stunning! That is definately a must have in any EK collection.Regards,Joel
Dave B Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Killer combo and like the others said, a definite must have
gregM Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 That is a nice looking, hard to find cross and the case isone of the nicest I have ever seen.
Stogieman Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 This maker is extremely hard to find. The case should be blacklighted, IMO. The catch looks more consistent with WW2/post WW2 manufacture and the lettering/ink just looks a little too crisp and new to my eyes.
Marcin L Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 OK, I know it is not JWS but I still like it :-) Cross signed KO, case DRGM. Both in mint condition.
hagwalther Posted September 9, 2007 Author Posted September 9, 2007 (edited) Hi Guys,Thanks for all the comments.I just checked th case under UV light and nothing glows here at all - just a dull gray response as per the white ribbon lines. The lining is now yellowing and the elastic ribbon restraints are starting to lose their elasticity which seems to imply some ageing in both materials.Nice items though and many thanks for the JWS info as I know very little about imperial EKII's and it's nice to hear that it is a nice one.RegardsChris Edited September 9, 2007 by hagwalther
