Ralph A Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I'm a little short on W?rttemberg. Here's the lot:
Stogieman Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 yeah, the condition is not the greatest but it has been at least 5 years since I saw a large gilt wreath on a bar to denote the W?rttemberg Gold Bravery Medal. Sometimes rarity has to precede condition.
HeikoGrusdat Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 here is one of mine.... any comments on the owner are welcome, there can`t be too many possibilities...Heiko
Wild Card Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Heiko,That little bar is truly superb. Congratulations!Wild Card
Wild Card Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Gentlemen,I admit that it's a medal bar and not a ribbon bar; but it is so unusual that I thought that some of you might enjoy seeing it. If nothing else, it represents a nice example of good old Swabian thrift.Best wishes,Wild Card
Stogieman Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 And that is the epitome of "thrift"..... you have to love the Olga Orden!
Deruelle Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 A new find sunday morning for a very low price.RegardsChristophe
David Gregory Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 A new find sunday morning for a very low price.RegardsChristopheVery nice find, Christophe. Is that a single ribbon woven to show the colours of both awards or just two ribbons positioned close together? The crossed swords are different from the example I posted in #69, but otherwise they are both nice examples of what a junior officer probably had to show for surviving the war.
Deruelle Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 You are right David, it is a single ribbon. The swords seems to be in silver. For me this ribbon bar is the first exemplar for me. I'm happy RegardsChristophe
