Then there is definitely no possibility of this being a virgins cross..... ;-)

But there must be a better english expression for this... it was afterall not meant to be "Virgins"

Tom Young had a superd one of these a few years ago....

    fur frauen und jungfrauen

"women and young ladies" more or less.

    fur frauen und jungfrauen

In German the title of a woman changes from Fr?ulein to Frau when she is married.

In formal Court-German that would be from Jungfrau to Frau.

Hence, to make it clear that the award is available to both, married and unmarried women, it was added "f?r Frauen und Jungfrauen" (plural).

I used to know a guy that sold fake women.. to the guys doing long stints on the oil rigs in Aberdeen, sure they were all virgins as well or those big oil workers would have taken him along for the ride instead (literally)

I am surprised about the large number of experts for these decoration!

Nimmergut says there were at least minimum two jewelers who procuded this decoration, Godet and Wagner. The unsharp red cross with narrow arms is not very nice, but also known on KO with Red Cross made by Godet.

I disagree with the public and i think the cross is a period original item.

I seem to remember a discussion about a PKO with the Red Cross device mounted on it a while back. If I remember correctly the discussion went that the device was bad. For some reason this red cross on the award above reminds me of that but I cannot find the thread.
