Robin Lumsden
That patch that Winkler is offering is laughable. Maybe the buyer, if there is one, will end up crying rather than laughing.

Chip
Wow! Now that is cool! I have only seen one officer's version in person. It was on a tunic in the Wehrgeschichtliches Museum in Rastatt. Chip

Robin Lumsden
Good question. Care to hazard an opinion, Don? It looks OK to me, from what I can see. Everything looks right about this one. Missing the backing, of course. Condition is pretty poor ....................... but there's only another one known. And it'll never come on to the market. dond
I've never seen this version, either in person nor in a period picture. It certainly doesn't look like any in this thread, not even the black one.
Chris Boonzaier
I think this one may actually have a chance.... I dont have an opinion formed yet, but I am open on this one... http://www.kaiserscross.com/40029/76401.html

Chris Boonzaier
I am as always a healthy sceptic, but this is a completely different ballgame to the black one. I would definately look it over with an open mind if I found it.
dond
I'm not sold either way. But I am keeping an open mind.

KIR
Why does this thing, currently on sale for 1450 Euros, remind me of Kyle from South Park ???? Hi, the auction was 2nd of march in germany - he payed around ~80 Euro for this badge, EK1* and VWA. I had the badge in my hands and I don't bid for this set! Best regards, Jens * EK1 back was damaged (broken needle, etc.) Edited May 3, 2013 by KIR

dond
I'd say that has to be a record but something tells me the SS tuxedo badges was a bigger mark up.
