    Very nice cross, Tom.

It certainly ranks among the more interesting anonymous items that would tell a good story if they could speak.

with NO disrespect to those who

collect third reich, WHERE do you

    see such variety in production?

    it was a jewellers heyday!

I know what you mean Joe. It took me one hands-on examination of a silver 1914 EK to forever turn me into an Imperialoid.

I wish I knew the story :( I got it several years ago on eBay. The two oval marks appear to have been made by the driving band of an artillery shell. We can only hope he lived.

Here is the majority of mine. All of the ones showing the front are standard or convex pinbacks. The one with the brass back is a battle damaged one that was trench art repaired and converted to screwback. There are 2-3 more around somewhere including a regular screwback, plus the Hansen coming in the mail from Canada. I know this is supposed to be about one special cross, but greg got me started.

    Dan,

You have a nice group of EKs.

Here is another variation. It's not very pretty but it has lots of character.
