    Hi everybody,

I would like to show you my latest purchase.

The knight cross 1st class with X of Albert Order from Saxe.

For E. Roth, this SA3aX was awarded during WW1 3905 times and 261 officers received the swords on their SA3a.

    Hi Joe,

Hélas no, the photo is just to illustrate that topic. If only I could have medal or ribbon bar from that officer it would be great.

Congratulations Christophe, a very nice piece (the patina is  )

It seems to be longer than my SA3bX.......It's correct or both have the same measures?

I like these Saxon awards as well. Nicely done and pleasing to the eye. I have a 2d class mounted on a bar. Unfortunately it is missing the reverse center medallion.

I'm not sure that this guy wear the SA3aX. I think he wear the SA3a.

He is a Major/Oberstleutnant and wear the Officer Cross with swords.

He should have the SA3aXK at this rank and not the SA3aX on his bar.

And i can't see the crown on the top of the SA3a. So i soppose this is a pre war award of SA3a on the wrong position.

    Regards Alex

    Thanks JB

To illustrate I show, one more time, a photo of one officer with SA3aX

    Hi everybody,

And what about the officer cross with swords of Albert of Saxe ! Here is my new treasure.

This cross were awarded 316 times during WW1 and 6 officers who already had this cross without swords, received swords during the war.

My exemplar is not in very good condition and its a late award. There is no hallmark on the back but just the word silber on the pin.

    Enjoy with it

Note that he wore the SA3aX on his medal bar and the officer cross with X

Here in this photo, Oberst Meischner has no Albert cross on his ribbon bar (SH3, EK2, SV3, SDA)

He has followed the saxon rules.

    Congratulations for this rare piece.

Is it possible to know the maker? (It does not have in the back side the mark of the manufacturer).....though looks like Roesner's piece.

    Best regards
