David Gregory
This image is already posted in the Mecklenburg-Strelitz thread at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=4663&st=20 but I am adding it here to keep the pin-backs all together.Leutnant der Reserve Rau of Mecklenburgisches Grenadier-Reiment Nr. 89 can be seen proudly wearing his EK1 and Mecklenburg-Schwerin MVK 1st class on the left, and an as yet unidentified fellow officer, probably of II. Bataillon, is shown wearing his EK1 and Mecklenburg-Strelitz 1st class cross on the right. The picture was probably taken during a parade held behind the Somme front in the second half of 1916.
