Just thought it would be useful to have a listing of reference works that cover the area of German Paperwork collecting, whether they are about the paperwork itself or useful publications etc to aid research. I have tried to group them by author.

Fire Brigades, The Panzer Divisions 1943-1945 by Kamen Nevenkin. This is a tremendous source for detalied info on Germany's panzer units during the final three years of the war (I learned of this book from you, actually)

The various Luftwaffe Reference books, in particular...

Bomber Units of the Luftwaffe 1933-1945 Volumes 1 & 2 by Henry L. de Zeng and Douglas G. Stankey with Eddie J. Clark. This is a great source for formations and locations of the Luftwaffe's bomber force throughout the war.

New Additions:

Iron Cross Award Documents of World War II (ISBN: 9780991442706) by Brian Razkauskas - covers many aspects of the EK citation from issuing criteria to different variants. 304 pages.

Verleihungsurkunden des 3. Reich by Lothar Bichlmaier & Lothar Hartung - have to say this book is a disappointment. It consists of 245 pages with each page containing a single (poor) scan of a various citation example along with a value. While some values given seem to be about right, there are others that left me wondering if they had been plucked from thin air - 750 Euros for an Ehrenpokal citation is widely over the top while 30 Euros for a scarce 267 ID Ost Medal citation is way too low.

I was wondering about this new Hüsken book, not having had a chance to look through it. Does it have multiple examples of an individual's signature or only one per person? And does it get into some of the more obscure NS personalities or just the more famous individuals?

I found Volume 1 to be quite handy really in the same way the Charles Hamilton books are. Most entries only have one signature example with the exception of Hitler, Goering, Goebbels etc. There are some NS related examples such as Hitler's secretaries, Ulrich Graf, Emil Maurice, Dr Theo Morell, Wilhelm Kube and Philipp Bouhler to name just a few. Where this book is better than the Hamilton books is that it also contains signatures from General rank officers (Generaloberst, General der XXXX, Generalleutnant etc) from all the services rather than just those holding the rank of Generalfeldmarschall. When it comes to the biographies of each entry there isn't much beyond a few lines to give some basic information such as date of birth & death, promotion and assignment dates.

Volume 2 is due out this year which looks to be concentrating more on the Luftwaffe Flak & Fallschirmjaeger personalities.
