(do you know the answer why this is ???????? ........... I know but lets think a bit )The recipient was a Bordmechanic who was wounded while inside the "Cholm" pocket. Kompanie, Fallschirmj?ger-Ersatz- und Ausbildungsregiment 3.He was last wounded while fighting as part of Kampfgruppe Kratzert in the Metz area in September 1944. B (still alive today - 95 years old) was a trained glider pilot who did see quite some action. I did get this document togheter with a few otehr documents in 2005 directly from the former soldier.When the glider units where disbanded in september 1944 he was attached as a volunteer towards the F.B.D. where he was wounded on 01.04.1945.So a Luftwaffe soldier with a Heer unit.Cordial greetings, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He received his first wounds during the drive to Stalingrad and the fighting in the Barikkady Factory in October 1942 while with IR 577 of 305 Infanterie-Division and then received the Gold Wound Badge while fighting in Italy with Gren.Rgt 954 of 362 ID...
