Thierry Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Bonjour, What's the 4th medal in the medalbar (maybe Russian order) ? - 1914 EK-II, - Lippische MVK, - Hamburgische Hanseatenkreuz, - ???, - Hindenburg Kreuz. Edited September 1, 2014 by Thierry
lambert Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Before the Hindenburg Kreuz? do not think, foreign orders have to be after the Orders and national medals? a guess : Order of the Red Eagle .. Edited September 1, 2014 by lambert
Paul C Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 General yes, but it was usually up to the wearer.
dedehansen Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Hello Thierry, could you please post a closeup only from the medal bar and without spoiling the scan ?! I don´t think that it is an RAO X. Regards Andreas

Claudio Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Strange... Saint Anna Order should have red enamels (see http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_St._Anna) ... Maybe on black & white pictures it seems white but in reality it's red, like some yellow ribbons on b&w pictures look very dark...

Could it be a medal to a Freikorps ? Crdl Thierry Hi Thierry . There are some medals associations like veterans, but I'm sure that's not her. http://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/c/weimarer-republik I looked in every site I know and have not found anything yet.I'm sure that information on the Order of St. Anna is wrong, is another Order. Schießplatzmeister Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 gentleman'sI could expand a little more photo Group medals, hope it helps. perto.jpg Hello Lambert: This looks like it could possibly be a Hungarian Order of Merit with Swords. It should be behind the "Hindenburg Cross" because it is a foreign award, but sometimes groups were not mounted properly. Best regards,
Thierry Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Bonjour, The photo was taken between june 1935 and january 1936, as he wears the rank badges SS Oscha. - Annen Order : translation different order (bing translator). The medal isn't possible Hungarian Order of Merit with Swords (It seems to me that the swords were added in 1939). Crdl Thierry
lambert Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Hello Thierry.found a "suspicious" possible.See, it's very similar to the Medal of Ordenspange however, no record of it will have been awarded this medal. (Preussen Roter Adler Orden) Lambert
P.F. Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Perhaps it's the Bulgarian Order of St. Alexander, 5th Class with Swords.
dedehansen Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 or this one ? Hungarian Order of Merit Regards Andreas
Thierry Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Bonjour, The centre looks nothing like Hungarian Order of Merit (It seems to me that the swords were added in 1939) or Bulgarian Order of St Alexander ( ring on the picture of a half Crown or flower for the Bulgarian order). But Hungarian Order more like (cross and swords) Thierry
