Hauptmann Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Another little tidbit... it says "Soyuz Sovietski Officerov" or "United Soviet Officers". It is the badge of the Soviet Officers' Association. Dan
Hauptmann Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Traffic Police badge if I'm correct. Been curious about these Militia (police)/security badges for a long time and finally stumbled onto one. Can't wait to see it in person. Dan

Hauptmann Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 My early senility is kicking in again... I forgot to mention that research is pending on that Order of Glory. Whenever it arrives I'll post it in the research section. Dan
Alfred Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Another Order of the Red Star (my 21st )... MZPP I believe: Yes, should be an MZPP Red Star. Produced in September/1945. S/N - range: 2.051.119 - 2.290.504 regards Andreas
Hauptmann Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 Hi Andreas, Many thanks for the info! And I know it's impossible to be totally sure until researched but do you feel this would most likely have been a long service award? Any thoughts on the Glory? I'm thinking 1944 based on the green bible... does that sound right? Dan

Difficult, with the Red Star. Both is possible. But itz is not the typical serial number range of long service. best regards Andreas
1977 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) Yes-GLORY-probably end in 1944 "Krasnaya Zvezda", may well be Japan. Maybe for longevity. Edited March 14, 2010 by 1977
