General der Flieger Helmuth Wilberg

Maybe someone can help me out: In this picture Wilberg is wearing the Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen (1914) underneath the EK I, on the other side he is wearing the Eiserner Halbmond and, I am pretty sure, the Feldpilotenabzeichen (k. u. k. Armee). But what flying badge does he wear to the right of the Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen? Can anyone identify it? Thanks!

He later also received the Beobachterabzeichen (Wehrmacht), if he received any awards in WW II is unknown.

Great picture with the medal bar. I think the badge could be Hungarian.

For me this Badge is Bulgarian Observer badge.

What a great looking medal bar!  I wish I could see some good color photos of that.  Any idea where it is now?  Still with the family?

I couldn't zoom in very well.  What is number 8 and 9?

When I was looking at number 8, it looked like there is something above the cross.  I couldn't make it out very well.

I think there is laurels with the Bulgarian medal

I see that too. Looks like there is something above the Austrian MVK3

I don't think so. In my opinion the MVK has not been mounted very well or has come somewhat loose due to heavy wearing. This combined with the left side of the crown of the Bulgarian Order of Bravery overlapping with the MVK leads to the optical illusion that there is something above the MVK, which is not possible since it did not come with a crown or wreath. Some people mounted swords above their MVK but this pictured does not seem to have them.

Well described, that convinced me. Indeed the bands hanging out of the Bulgarian crown seem to support the illusion. Thanks!
