JohanH Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Nice miniatures! Here are the single ones I have. (I believe I might have a few more but cannot find them atm) The Sword order is a knight 2nd class in silver. I prefer minibars and minichains, especially when it is possible to ID the owner.
Graf Posted October 9, 2021 Author Posted October 9, 2021 Hi JohanH, Nice minis. Yes to get attributed bars and chains is better, especially if they are part of a Grouping. I simply try to get minis for the full size Orders I already have It looks nice I send you mere info regarding the Mini of the Commander of the Order of the Vaza on the other topic site. It is not marked and it is double sided . very detailed work. Silver Regards Graf
JohanH Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Nice minis! Have you managed to ID the two mini bars? The chain is not possible but the other two could be ID:able. Very strange ribbon on the "För Tapperhet i Fält" btw.
JohanH Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Here are three miniature bars/chains from my collection. I've been able to ID the original owner of all of them. The bottom one is my favourite. That one and the middle one is for a father and son. Sorry for the terrible photo, it's close to impossible to take good photos without daylight. 2
Graf Posted October 14, 2021 Author Posted October 14, 2021 Very nice mini displays Hi JonasE I like all, however you have few very rare and old minis that I like the most Congrats. Hi JohanH Well done for identifying the owner of the miniatures Congrats Cheers Keep safe Graf

The first mini bar belonged to Agne Holmström. https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agne_Holmström The "För tapperhet" mini in gold probably belonged to Carl Gustaf Löwenhielm since he is the only one who received it in gold and also received all the 4 Royal Swedish orders. (The ribbon is for Order of the Seraphim, Order of the Sword, Order of the North star, Order of Vasa and "För tapperhet i fält) https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Gustaf_Löwenhielm_(landshövding) 11 hours ago, larsb001 said: Some different 1st type Vasa badges including a Herolds badge (the red/blue enamelled badge) ranging from a very small to an somewhat "oversized" miniature! larsb001 Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 (edited) Hi Jonas. You're welcome to a private tour should you come to Copenhagen! But it seems you're somewhat into the Bravery Medals, beautiful selection you have, do you know if it would be possible to ID these two groups? The ribbon mounted one was bought from Mynthuset appr 30 years ago, at that time I was told they came from the estate of Hjalmar P:son Janek but I have ben unable to get this confirmed by photos, lists or other sources, is it something you have some info about? I believe they had his fullsize group as well which were sold before I visited them. I understand that very few, less than 5, were awarded with crown around 1890-1900? Regards, Lars Edited October 15, 2021 by larsb001 2
Jonas E Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 I will look in my books if I can identify them. They where probably awarded to Swedes serving at the Iranian Gendarmerie 1906-1916. Hjalmar P:son Janek got the silver medal but I'm not sure about if he received the Order of the Sword. I think there where around 40-50 medals awarded to the Swedes in the Iranian Gendarmerie in total. 5 of them where in gold.
Graf Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Hi, I am glad that the topic became "alive" Nice to see your minis Lars know that i am into other country minis, however Swedish Order always are fascinating me. Hi Lars i hope one day i pop up in Copenhagen and i have a look of your' private" Museum... if i am included in your 'by invitation only" list

larsb001 Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) GM1, a really nice chain! Jonas, thanks alot for your effort, I may contact you offline, would really like to know how you're getting there, is there a published list of those who got the Bravery medal, cannot recall having seen anything except for an article published around 20 years ago in NNF. And now to some miniature Order of the Sword, some early pieces around 1800-1820: And some other examples ranging from around 1810-1900 although the Commander on a ribbon may be around 1920-30: And some in groups: Edited October 18, 2021 by larsb001 3
GM1 Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Another miniature chain, with the Order of the Sword. Best regards, GM1 1
922F Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) Thanks to all who contributed to this fascinating thread! The range of awards to an individual represented by these groups and identification of their original owners far exceeds expectancy. Edited October 19, 2021 by 922F spelchek
JohanH Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 20 hours ago, Jonas E said: The ribbon mounted one probably belonged to Pehr Ludvig Nyström. None of my lists show any russian orders at all to Pehr Ludvig Nyström. What source did you use to find that he received the Russian order of S:t Anna?
Jonas E Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 I have no source for that but this is the ones that are possible: Arvid Wester, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 8 augusti 1900[141] Erik Stålberg, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1904[142][143] Boris Möller, major, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1914[145] Hugo Oskar Skjöldebrand, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1914[147] Tor Harald Lundberg, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1914[148] Per Ludvig Nyström, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1914[148] Ernst Konrad Nikolaus Hill, erhöll guldmedalj för tapperhet i fält 1 oktober 1915[149][150] Adolf Nils Carl Mörner af Morlanda, född 1849-05-16 RVO 1903-12-01. GMtf 1912-03-22 KVO2kl 1914-09-30 All except fpr Per Ludvig Nyström received a lot of other decorations than the one on the ribbon mounted, that's why I assumed it belonged to him. Erik Stålberg received Order of st Stanislaus. Hjalmar Pettersson-Janek, erhöll silvermedalj för tapperhet i fält 1906 [144] Maybe the gold and silver medal should switch place. Then the ribbon mountet one would belong to Hjalmar P:son Janek (If he got st Anna) and the one on the chain would be Erik Stålberg.
JohanH Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 I agree that no one else of the persons listed fits for the medalbar and that the best fit is Nyström. But in my opinion I don't think the miniaturebar belonged to Nyström simply because he didn't get the russian order. OR if the Tapperhet i Fält or the russian order is replaced. I would say that it needs further research before it can be attributed.
