Paul R Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Hello, I am working on creating the ultimate online Luftwaffe reference. My goal is to eventually cover every aspect of the Luftwaffe branches and organizations, ranging from the well known Flieger to the obscure Nautiker Korps. Basically the way this works is that I lay the ground work and you add the rest. Additions are whole heartedly welcomed and encouraged within each thread. I am looking for any data or militaria related to the topic of the thread. This could include: period photos, insignia, uniforms, documents, and even first hand accounts from men in these branches. Basically, anything pertinent to the topic! I hope that you enjoy what you see. As you can see, I have a very long way to go. There many pending items that I am working on, daily. There are also many items I do not even have listed... yet. Opening: Pending Regular Luftwaffe: Luftwaffe General Officers: Pending Luftwaffe General Staff: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18186 Luftwaffe Field Divisions: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17457 Luftwaffe Truppensonderdienst(TSD): http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16844 Hermann Goering Division: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18342 Luftwaffe RLM, Pioneer, and members attached to the Luftschutz: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18187 Luftwaffe Flight Corps: Pending Luftwaffe Flak/Artillery: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18416 Luftwaffe Signals Corps: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18372 Luftwaffe Medical Corps: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18357 Luftwaffe Officers at Service http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20425 Luftwaffe Disciplinary Unitshttp://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23337&hl= Officials: Luftwaffe Administrative Officials: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18055 Luftwaffe Wartime Officials and Sonderfuhrer: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17190 Luftwaffe Corps of Engineers: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16407 Luftwaffe Music Corps: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17408 Luftwaffe Navigator Corps: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16453 Luftwaffe Air Traffic Control Service: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17336 Luftwaffe Judicial Officials http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17433 Luftwaffe Fire Fighting Officials: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18189 Luftwaffe Secret Police (GFP): http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20393 Luftwaffe General Luftzeugmeister "GL" http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20501&hl= Auxiliary Formations of the Luftwaffe: RLB: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20352 SHD/LSW: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20352
Paul R Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 I apologize for the extreme delay in completing the final two chapters in the above project. I plan on completing the final two chapters during the Holidays. Please stay tuned!
LarryT Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Hi Paul, Here are two rare photos which don't come under any of your LW chapters, Both I would say belong in the "Auxiliary Formations of the Luftwaffe" chapter. Pic one: Luftwaffe Technische Nothilfe (TeNo). Pic two: Insignia is the wing for Fliegerisch Tatigen Angestellen der Luftwaffe. Most often they were civilian pilots and wireless operators who specialised in training and instruction. Functions were: Flugbetriebsleiter and Flugzeugfuhrer. They were active in the Luftdienstverband, a LW unit which was in charge of docking large flying boats. They cooperated closely with personnel of the Flugsicherungsschiffe. Personnel often came from commercial airlines such as Lufthansa. Cheers, Larry
Paul R Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 My God. Those are GREAT and rare photos. Thank you for sharing them. Are they from your collection?
