The "incident" happened on a small auxiliary coastal vessel mostly manned by reservists... This will definitely NOT improve relations between the reserve and full time sailors! :unsure:

We finally repealed Prohibition ashore, but not on board.

I wish our ships would allow its return. We never brought it back in the US after Prohibition was reversed.

But, yes, this will be a blow to the regulars in the newly re-named, re-uniformed Royal Canadian Navy. And it comes on top of the decision several years ago to make the daily toasts politically correct! No more 'wives and sweethearts'. :(
