    1. He's the evil one...... drove all the way over here today just to verbally abuse my choice of office equipment. Only an Evil Twin would be so cruel..... I also have video tape of him licking medal bars when I was out walking my dogs... he didn't remember we have a home-monitoring security system!
    2. Yep, common war-time occurance with Austrian awards.... now, does anybody know if this is an actual Austrian Maker? I am impressed with the detail to the core, especially the crown....
    3. The "asterick", or "star" was commonly used in Austrian war-time pieces to signify the presence of a base metal as opposed to the "correct" metal of silver, or gold. The promise being that upon conclusion of the war the orders chancellry would provide you with a "proper" award.......
    4. Ed, Thanks for sharing this one with us..... Rusty, a fantastic set you kept an eye on until now. Thanks to both of you!
    5. Further proof. Here's a picture of Rick preparing to have a kitten....... That's just plain evil.
    6. Gentlemen & Ladies, I submit to you that the (Truly) Evil Twin?, one Mr. Rick Research, is the (only) (truly) evil twin because he would scan these medals and post them up for all the Latvian/Estonian Fake Makers to improve their copies....... He's the evil, evil, evil, wicked, mean and nasty Twin. Can I hear an AMEN!?
    7. Heiko is right, missed the side stripes myself....... Good luck finding a Bander-Katolog
    8. Hi Paul, very nice & complete grouping....... but who's been ripping off my astro-turf backround??? ;>)
    9. Given the really odd weave on that second ribbon, I doubt it's the Federal Medal Daniel (???)
    10. Fabulous photo Alfred! A not often encountered badge, even as an image!
    11. Copy, copy, copy. Older one, similar, but not identical to the Rothe pieces. Not quite as much detail to eagles, wrong mouths as compared to the Rothe ones.
    12. The real gold versions of this order can be breath-taking. I was heavy into Austrian before Saint Henry/Saxony led me astray ;>)
    13. Alexei just sold a similar error on the Soviet Forum, but the error was on the right edge...
    14. Hi Jason, that's a pretty nice Flanders... odd that he has nothing else, but certainly possible!
    15. That overlap bar is very nice to see with so few awards...... I'm used to seeing that used on the 13-20 ribbon bars where the only way to get them on was to overlap everything!!!! Nice catch!
    16. Don, yes, that is the correct "Combattant" ribbon.... I have never seen this "Non-Combattant" ribbon before. Anywhere. Not in the piles of "old stock" that have floated out over the years and not mounted anywhere. I would concur that last place is probably a Hessian War Aid Medal. I have great big bells ringing here....... and they are not the "I'm a fake" ones.
    17. Nice stuff Gentleman!! David, nice trap bars!! Claudio, I thought you would chase that one ;>)
    18. And the reverse......... Believe it or not, this piece was culled off of eBay by me many, many years ago!!
