    1. I just came across Auction book when those items were offered for the first time The Auction was held 0n 2-22 of September 1989 in Limburg Germany I will copy and list the King Ferdinand items
    2. I also suspect because The Order of Leopold II is awarded for civil contributions the boxes for the medals were awarded in boxes similar to the Civic medals What ever the reason it is fact
    3. It should be, however for some reasons I have seen the LII medals with French text only only in such boxes I also have seen cases with Crown and LII underneath as well a blue case with letters M.O.L.II I also assume that could be a lot of mix and match of medals and boxes or as you stated 2nd Classes medals could have been sold/awarded in a box like this (2me CLASSE) Obviously when comes to the lower level Awards
    4. It is from the Communist period and it is not a rare one I will say around 100 EURO
    5. I personally reduced my EK1 collection and I keep only well known models including KMST ones
    6. Hi Vicyal, You are correct This is a Bulgarian Uniform from around 1980 1990 period of an Junior Officer.- Second Lieutenant If am not mistaken it is Artillery Officer
    7. That is a shame to remove the reverse medallions for display. i suspect that this person is not any more alive and if he kept the medallions in a place only he knew the person who acquired the Set did not know about the fact and resp;d them as they were. Now if you have them you have the difficult tusk to get replacement medallions i t could be a long process but not impossible Good Luck
    8. There are three Classes Medals of this Order Look a the topic Order of Leopold II in this Section 1st Class Gold 2nd Class Silver 3rd Class Bronze
    9. Amazing boards I have this Set What Rank are they and What period?
    10. Hi Steve, After the Soviets entered Bulgaria a new Regime was established The country switched sides and went to fight Germany. This was the Republican Period 1944 1946. During this period many of the Documents were issued with the new format and text. They were the first prototype of the early Documents of the new Socialist System that was established The republican period could be considered as transitional period I am not a big fan of this period and that reflected in my collecting I hope some of the Bulgarian members can add more information Regards I noticed that the two Awards Booklets has a difference reflecting the period that they were issued On top of my Document on the front cover page it is written Ministry of the War On your Document the text is Ministry of NO ( NO stands for Narodna Otbrana which translated to People Defense) Thus indicates later period Socialist Period
    11. Sorry Uwe I used the word "arms" The correct and more accepted word is "pendelia" Here you can see the difference The first Commander is from The Regency Period with pendelia on the crown The second picture is the King Boris period without pendelia on the crown I use the word arms for simplicity
