    1. I love the cases as much as the awards. Thanks for showing.
    2. Has anyone had any expirience with this seller? http://myworld.ebay.com/kuk-kaiserjaeger/ He currently has several nice looking awards up but are they genuine to the period? thanks vr d
    3. But the EK is an iconic symbol, recognized at a glance by millions of people. Other, higher and rarer awards just don't have that recognition. PS- I'm always looking for $15 EKs.
    4. A clear difference in quality. Those names mentioned above deal mainly in fakes and I would not buy the one real item they might have because the funds just get put back into buying fakes to screw collectors.
    5. Also, on any bar you think about purchasing you need to post the front and the reverse of the bar. The devil is in the details.
    6. Apples and Oranges guys. Apples and Oranges.
    7. Looking for the name(s) of personnel from Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 14 or 30 that earned the EK2 in the 1870 campaign. thanks in advance.
    8. Sort of a keep them in thier place move eh?
    9. It starts to be a slippery slope at some point. I saw a picture of Jesus on my french toast this morning. It all comes down to belief. ps. I'm not for or against Robin's skull. I just want to "see" the proof before I make up my mind.
    10. That is part of what makes this scam work. Who would think anyone would fake such common stuff.....
    11. Here is an example I got from this faker a couple of years ago. I thought his dark pics were the result of poor camera skills. My bad. Not one medal on it is good. Note the typical construction for this guy. He also used this maker label a lot.
    12. Not to poo poo on anyone who has earned one but the construction sure is shabby. It shows that the slide in craftsmanship that started in 1918 is still continuing. A shame.
    13. I would be very careful with anything he has for sale. Many of the same items are sold by "the club."
    14. This guy regularly sells these fakes on ebay.de: Mitgliedsname orehilas321
    15. I'm pretty sure that one came from the Austrian faker.
    16. A very nice grouping. I don't suppose the recipiant's name is on the box?
    17. Easiest way to tell is to look at the lettering. The originals are nice and crisp. The fakes look wavy.
    18. Shoot!!! I almost passed out when I saw that group photo. My collection is puny and feeble next to that. The medal bar would make a fine center piece in any collection. Thanks for showing and Merry Christmas to all.
    19. Thanks Demir. Another fake to watch out for.
    20. I thought the combatant ribbon just meant he was outside of the fatherland near one of the fronts. There are plenty of black-white ribboned EK bars with the noncombatant hindy on them. Perhaps a medic/stretcher bearer at the front.....
    21. Hi Demir. I think a period made copy for wearing is significantly different than a recently made copy to fool collectors for money.
    22. I agree with Tim. Without pics this thread is worthless. With pics it serves as a warning to fellow collectors.
    23. How did I ever miss this thread. An impressive grouping to a brave guy that took a "minor shot to the head."
