    1. Thanks, guys. Glad, you like it as much as i do Although the 15 years Red Star is obviously missing from this group, i was quite happy, that i go it.
    2. I got this one today. When i received it, i noticed, that the 20 years LS Medal is an early silver piece a nice ebay-bargain for 24 Euro including shipping
    3. Sal, Jaques, i suppose, the unmarked crosses are quite scarce?
    4. Christian, "selling medals" is not in Eds vocabulary Ed, nice group. Do you get an advance warning for Alexeis update? Gerd
    5. Auke, thanks, you are right of course. I had this picture in mind, when i wrote that text above, sorry.... Can anyone assist with the text on this one?
    6. Interesting. If i remember correctly, joe campbell had one like this. I really like the look of these pieces, but have no idea about the significance of the white enamel... Gerd
    7. Noone bites? I would have guessed him at about 30-35 on this picture, but now look at this one of the same chap:
    8. Avanti orden sounds like a german nickname for an italian order or medal. I think, i have heard it before, but don?t remember where.
    9. Got a few more today... What would you say, how old would you guess this Lieutenant Colonel?
    10. Christian, i was talking about the dimensions, not the style. Does this not remind you of Hitlers and Speers cold architecture of "Germania" somehow? Gerd
    11. Sometimes these happy reunitings happen http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=15397 Well done to keep the groups together, William
    12. My uncle worked in this mine in Aue and he became ill and died of lung cancer due to the radiation. He only worked two years there. The mine was supervised by the soviet NKVD and all the Uranium went to the USSR. Andreas, nice badges. They seem to be of very nice quality Gerd
    13. Thank you both, gents. I am going to buy some matboard and see, if there are any other acid free materials, which can be used for this. Thanks again Gerd
    14. Dave, the one with blue and white enamel is a soviet Motherhood Medal 1st class. Can?t help you with the other one, sorry. Gerd
    15. Chris is right with his suspicion. You have to post single closeups of the ribbonbars, especially of the one in row 6, which is together with the 3 place bar in the top row the only ones, which are good in my opinion. I don?t have very much hope for all the others. Naoki, post the closeups in THIS thread please and don?t start a seperate one for every ribbonbar. You can do this by just clicking the reply-button somewhere in this thread and add the pictures here. Thank you. all the best, Gerd
    16. Here is the one from Skorzeny. I don?t know, for how much it went, but it was on the last HH-auction, if i am not mistaken.
    17. Excellent explanation for the Medalbar and thanks a lot for the clarification about the Nevsky, Greakly Gerd
