    1. I agree the BW has problems one of them being that there are people who think it's O.K. to adopt a 'Hey Man! do your own thing' attitude. Maybe that's alright in California! - Peace Man!
    2. Ah! JensF, You may not be a fan of The Regulations. That I understand. But would you go on parade wearing just boxer shorts, a T-shirt and painted toe nails because you don't like the dress Regulations?? No offence, but if you are a bonafide wearer of a BW uniform then you should respect the rules - Das war ein Befehl.
    3. Hallo JensF., Good for you for the work you do - no sarcasm. Here is my little lot:
    4. Agree with Speedytop It's a 'no go' on the DOSB, DSB as with the other two after the NATO mini (OK out of uniform). Perhaps a touch of personal vanity? JensF. It is just not quite right!!!!!! It's only my personal view. No offence meant.
    5. Stefan,, This mini group was peviously posted by Marksman on the http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/ site. Is that you?
    6. Hallo, As many will be aware, miniature medals and ribbon bars are easily available from such companies as; http://bandschnallen.de/ . I do not wish to conrtradict Stefan in any way on his views, however, Bundeswehr medals, badges etc. can be found on e-bay.de in abundance - just type Bundeswehr Orden or Bundeswehr Ehrenzeichen, Abzeichen - It speaks for its' self. As said, many times, the actual award/miniature/ribbon-bar etc. has no intrinsic value (apart from higher decorations - produced in gold/silver-gilt/silver). The key issue is authority to hold and wear the insignia. To my mind there is no myth nor is there any rarity involved. They are just overpriced for what they are. Hope this helps potential collectors
    7. Hallo all, A few more details. Award date: 29. November 2010. Ralf Rönckendorf38HptFw3.
    8. Could anybody please help me locate a copy of the statutes (English or German) relating the Royal Guelphic Order - Guelphen-Orden of Hannover. Thanks in advance.
    9. Sorry to be a pain but I think the U.S. soldier is not a Lt. but holds the rank of W3Chief Warrant Officer 3CW3
    10. Hi Eric, The U.S. Reg's make sense . This chap is waring three U.S. awards. His Nato Ribbon is the wrong size for German Ribbon-bars. A 'personal' pin and a scruffy tie make me a little scepticle??? Who is he? Having said that total respect to Herr Mutschke. And it's great to see modern German medal groups - thanks Paul R. for the post. By the way, There is no Wound Badge, as it were, The second medal in Herr Mutschke's group is for Gefecht - Combat which also includes 'wounded in action'.
    11. Hi, The chap in the centre should not be waring the Bavarian Sports Badge (Gold). Also not the Blood Donation Ribbon (red with gold cross) Nor should he be waring the Military Proficiency Badge as a Ribbon. His German Sports Badge Ribbon (DSA) should be followed by His Life Savers Badge Ribbon (DLRG). The U.S. Ribbon is also out of place. I think the Combat Infantry Badge is also a no go. Plus, plus. Just not allowed on German forces uniforms. Is this chap genuine? If so he should read the regulations. If not, what a lack of respect for the real heroes there.
    12. You have a very good point there. The one on the auction site is hoping to realize 225euro - A bit optimistic?
    13. Hi, If you type Stein sport medallion 1931 into Google, then click on pictures There's a Stein medallion for sale. Might give you some idea of the value. Also one here. eBay-Artikelnummer:311387192354
    14. Hallo Gentleman, Have a look at this site: http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.militaria-lexikon.de%2Fassets%2Fimages%2F9.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.militaria-lexikon.de%2Fkatalog%2Fwk2%2Fwk2_bericht8%2Fmilitaria-lexikon_de_-_die_ran.html&h=183&w=376&tbnid=YO6WBBo6DkPjkM%3A&zoom=1&docid=da1GevbsHtDa6M&ei=5UqxVPCdI8nuPJ2YgOgK&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=566&page=1&start=0&ndsp=25&ved=0CHAQrQMwGA
    15. Gentlemen, thank you very much for the kind and gentle reprimand. My focus was on the Orders, Medals & Decorations. Never noticed the Kragenspiegel. You live and learn!! That is what it is all about eh? Kind regards. Östa
    16. It's probably a silly question but somebody has to ask!! What has the General got wrong? Breast Star not in the correct position perhaps?
    17. Hi Linas, There is one for sale at the following: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151531147503?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBID eBay item number:151531147503 "BELGIUM LEOPOLD II. 1835-1909 SILVER CROSS/MEDAL 1895 BLUE/GREEN/BLACK ENAMEL CROWN AND SWORDS with Ribbon MAKER MARKED : FISCH / BRUXELLES MAKER MARKED : ENFANTS DE TROUPE ( CHILD TROOPS )".
    18. Chris, I wouldn't say your cross is "beaten and abused". I would say it has character!! Nice piece.
    19. Not an ´official´ medal group as they are minis. The oder of wear for NATO, UN medals differs in the UK from the U.S. These medals have equal status to British medals . As such, they are worn in date-order of award.
    20. These two spring to mind. The 1813 Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross - Field Marshal Gebhard von Blücher (only award). The 1914 Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross - Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg (only award).
    21. Hallo, If you type Austrian Sports Badge into google. You will find quite a bit of info. I think your badge is pre 1938.
    22. The Iron Cross ribbon could have been a button hole job. Making the ribbon bar very plausable
    23. Hallo again AlecH, Better still. If you do a Google search: Reichsjugendsportabzeichen für Mädchen There is an abundance of info. Best wishes.
