    3. Hi, Interresting, but some questions appears : - Why there is no swords on the second and third ribbons ? If those awards were without cross, regulations said that they should be after the iron cross 2nd class, not before. - The second, thrind and fourth ribbons "seems", (no offense) very new compare to others. So do you use black light to see your ribbon bar ? Let us know the result please ! Christophe

    6. Hi, Sorry to say that but this medal bar has not belonged to Jacobs, we are ok with that ? In fact Jacobs received only the Hamburg hanseatic cross and not the Lubeck. About uniform shown here, the Feldbinde seems to be a Bavarian one, can you confirm it ? Christophe

    9. Major Gause from RIR 242 with, from left to right, Lt d.R Bernhard, Lt d. R Kastner and Olt Scheube (all these subalterne officers received the SH3). Gause has the SH2b on his neck. The last officer is not id. :banger:

    11. Hi Chris, I remember Claudio's photos from Technical Museum where the original medals (medal bars, ribbon bars, Pour le Mérite, Ehrenbecher etc...) are in Germany. So I don't understand if it is possible that the original medals of Jacobs are in the States.     13. Hi, Don't forget that a lot of german soldiers has fought with Finnish army for their liberty. It explains why they received those crosses. yes, this man should wore the cross on his medal bar but after the war some officers took liberty to wear orders like they want. You can find more information about Otto in the Previtera's book, Prussian Blue. Christophe
