Hi to be honest I hate to see someone destroying part of history to make a profit. I spend so many years and money to reunite items, medals and papers from same person to see that. I can't understand. We can do anything to avoid this. as it is my collection theme, I will try to reunite the album. Christophe

Hi Fritz von Selle received the Card Eduard War Cross on 19 July 1916. Von Selle received the Pour le Mérite Order on 6 January 1918, after that the Duke Carl Eduard gave Oberst von Selle the Brillants to the cross in 1918. Years ago Andreas Thies sold the Carl Eduard War Cross with Brillants and its original box in one of his auction. Christophe

Hi Nice ribbon bars. It is strange to see on the first one, that the two first ribbons are smaller than the others. it's not too common to see About the second one, a very nice Thuringian ribbon bar. I like to see Ernestine ribbon and Saxe Weimar ribbon. This bar is probably an NCO ribbon bar. Congrats Christophe Here is a new one I have not shown yet Christophe

Hi Very nice ribbon bars. On the first one the Third ribbon is for which medal ? as it is paler than the others I can't recognise it. The first one is for an enlisted man or junior NCO during the war (there is only the saxon Friedrich August medal, probably in bronze). The second ribbon bar is for a junior officer from Bade. Congrats Christophe
