Hello, Welcome on board ! I think you will find a lot of answers here. Your bar is very nice. Some research : Paul Schmitt received the knight cross 1st class with swords and cronw of Albert of Saxe on 18 September 1917, at this time he served as Major and Chef of GS GK 63. He received the Bavarian Military Merit Order 3rd class with swords and crown on 3 September 1918. He received the Bavarian Military Merit Order 3rd class with swords on 30 July 1917. He received the Bavarian Military Merit Order 3rd class with swords and crown on 11 September 1914. That's all I have for the moment Christophe

Thanks all for your comments. Fist time I saw this I thought it was easy to id the owner but it was a mistake. Like Alex says it is not usual that the sFAM is not here for a NCO. Don't forget that they loved to put all their medals on ribbon bar. So for me it is more an officer ribbon bar than a NCO one. It is now one of my collection's pearl Christophe

Hi everybody, I was not there for a while but some nice ribbon bars are arrived at home. One of the most interresting is the following one. Indeed there is two ribbons of the St Henry order. - knight cross of St Henry - medal in silver of St Henry - knight cross 2nd class with X of Albert Order - iron cross 2nd class. After doing some research I have found only ten guys who received the same combo. But only one died during the war. Leutnant d. R. Wilhelm Hannes from RIR Nr. 102 (1888-1917) He received the SH3 on 29.08.1916 SHsM on 13.04.1916 SA3bX on 21.12.1916. Have a look. If someone has got photo of this officer don't hesitate to post it, thanks in advance. Christophe
