    5. Hello , Yes certainly the lace on collar and cuffs is not that of the 2nd . looking closely I noted apart of leaves ,heraldic roses and these not are of the lace of the 2nd which carried only laurel leaves. So , white facings , English or Welsh Regiment , gold lace with roses , regular unit .

    7. Hello , The rank is equivalent to colonel I believe . I asks , the lace is silver and the stripes dark blue ?
    8. Some old Austro Hungarian Generals received honorary ranks in the German Wehrmacht .for example Eduard von Bohm Ermolli who was granted the rank of German Feldmarschall. anther example was Freiherr von Balldorf promoted first to wehrmacht lieutenant general and then to General der infanterie . King Ferdinand must have received the same recognition .Hitler during his table conversations expressed his high steem for the King.who after WW1 returned to his ancestral home in Germany. Ferdinand was roman catholic . so the cross over his left lower side must be a Maltese Order one and not the Cross of the Johanitter Order common among lutherans.
    9. Martin 2 , The Army of the German Democratic Republic , the communist , weared lanyards almost identical to those of the 3rd Reich Wehrmacht. and there are many in the Market . If you wish take a look into Picclic . at ,uniformen und effekten

    12. Hello : Certainly appears evident that the Spanish belt buckles were used. at least by the land troops. the Spanish Sam Browne was the current belt of Army officers . The Condors went in civilian clothes but with all their equipment . including uniforms in the cut of the Luftwaffe ones in brownish olive green cloth but without any distinction marking nationality . Once in Spain they adopted Spanish badges of rank . the grained belt buckle was plain . precisely to not show any .
    13. The Viborg regiment has as colonel the German Kaiser ? The Narva Regiment too if I am not wrong , and the last one fought in Tannenberg.
    14. Thanks ,Stuka and Guy . Not Genietroepen, mistery remains
    15. Jurgen : The Legion Condor weared special made belts and buckles . of tan leather .officers Sam Browne model , NCOs and troopers ,a rectangular koppelschloss much alike that of the Wehrmacht but plain without any badge . the Legion marched to Spain fully equiped and seems improbable the use of Spanish belt buckles
    16. Stuka : the belt plate could be Belgian ?
