    1. The best part : these are from two venders at a local show and cost a total of $80. Resonable to cheap even on my scale!
    2. I finally put one in my collection! Where is Rick?
    3. Are the stripes on the last ribbon green? If so this could go back to a Bavarian bar with a single Baden medal that someone has placed the wrong medal on. I just can't decide what color the stripes are. Chet
    4. Like I said before, I like this one better than St.Henry! It is an impressive medal. This is the early version with the engravers mark.
    5. I think I need a bigger computer screen. I thought ribbon #3 was the KVK medal - the little round one. Maybe if I am good for a while Santa will put me back on his list.
    6. I thought the ribbon in the button hole was a combatant EK2. Could this be the Prussian general honor medal in first place or is the button hole ribbon something different?
    7. I have a few of these and I must say that this one has about the most attractive patina I have seen. Nice one!
    8. Tim Erikson had one of these at the second MAX show I attended for about $400. I looked at it and passed on it! I am still kicking myself. I guess I was not ready at the time - but don't I recall you telling me that you don't like the Saxon items?
    9. My family is still settling in from the move. I have not picked up the piece we discussed yet as a couple of medal bars have come up that I really liked. I hope to get it this month.
    10. Great piece! Any idea on the number awarded? I really like the old ones.
    11. I have been gone for a little while and have not been posting much so I have a few things I would like to discuss. First is this Hohenzollern Kriegerbund piece. I bought mine for around $30 - $40 at a local show a couple of years ago. I just liked that it was from Hohenzollern. Then one day I see it in Detlev Vol 2 for 150 so I think I got lucky. Time passes and I see Detlev sell one for 45 Euros. Is this a case of a printing error or are these things considered rare? I see one or two a year so they can not be too scarce. I have noticed different versions of this cross also. Is there a known date that these were made? Has anyone ever found one on a medal bar? I have seen some solid green ribbons before on ribbon bars and now wonder if this is a possible candidate. I look forward to your thoughts.
    12. Possible but I do not like the MVO4. The back looks like a fake to me. The lack of detail to the back of the order and the swords (any detail) would make me stay away.
    13. I agree that this is a thirties mount. Looks like it once had the 25 year oaks on it also. Keep the medals and put the correct ones on the bar and sell if off.
    14. I have had this for a couple of years and I do not know if I ever posted it. Not too many people into Hohenzollern. This is the TR continuation of the bar Ralph posted and of the first ribbon bar in post #10.
    15. I think this is all I have in the way of medals. Still my baby!
    16. Claudio is right about the picture - it is Hermann Historica. I think it along with at least two others were taken from Dave Danners pages where the pictures are properly credited.
    17. These seem to show up much more as single mounts or unmounted. Finding them on a bar is not easy. I only have this one mounted and a loose one. The ribbons on these seem fragile compared to other awards.
    18. I think most KO marked pieces fit into this category. They seem to be too close on the bottom and the 4 in 1914 is crowded next to the frame. I have never been a fan of that maker because of this.
    19. Tony, I am happy to see another Neal return home!!! How many do you have? I am happy that I could help another member out, especially one that has given me plenty of help in the past. I have misplaced my yearbook and I am not familiar with the last medal. Could you enlighten me? Chet
    20. Rick, They were in my secret mine with the rest of them. Funny how these things pile up over time when I really do not try to collect them. I have a Riker mount full now. These are the little treasures that are overlooked in my local area until I find them. The von L?wenfeld Cross with Silesian Eagle I bought because it is the odd type of thing I like to have in my collection. It is the only von L?wenfeld Cross reeban bar I have ever laid eyes on. Same situation with the stick pins. I have a bunch of them now and nearly did the happy dance when I saw this one. Too much stuff out there. I need to sell off some stuff and refocus.
