    1. You only have to read the stamp inside the case. Knauer was Hofgoldschmied that means he produced for the royal family. He was not only a dealer. Regards Alex
    2. Hi Rick, there is now Weimar version of saxony LSM. It is the last model of the imperial one. I can't say if awarded or privat purchase. But probably privat purchase then i think the Weimar government never award imperial medals. Regards Alex
    3. This is an unussual case. He got a "Anerkennungsurkunde" in Juli 1920 when he was out of army and visit the university. He save the live of an old women for drowning. The document is signed by the prime minister. Regards Alex

    5. Rick i am happy with me HP scaner that i posses over 6 years. It cost a lot of money six or seven years ago. So an Epson scaner is not on my wish list.     6. Hi Fergus, i didn't go to Kassel. The most of the Luftschiffer badges don't have this banderola. Ithought that only one maker built in this style. I also think that this is the official style, because i seen this in many old literature. Regards Alex

    10. I think its absurd to discuss this badge. The bavarian badges are a mine field. I think no one can definitely say what is genuine what private purchase and what is a post war production and wich one is modern make. If someone like his badge and think is genuine, so what. There are a lot of assertions but no facts. For me i don't buy any bavarian aviation badges more, only they come directly from the family and it looks good in me eyes. @VINLAND30 If you and your friend like this badge it's OK.     13. Hallo gentlemen, can someone help me finding information about Lt. d. R. Heinrich Kessler He was pilot with FFA 58 from 1916 - EOW. He survived the war and was reactivated as Hauptmann in WW 2. He got : 12.01.1915 Sachsen-Meiningen Kreuzes f?r Verdienst im Kriege 11.11.1916 Verdienstkreuz mit Schwertern des Ernestiner Hausorden I will be vary appreciate if i get some infos. Regards Alex
    14. I don't like it. The details are so bad and i'm not sure if this one are a badge called "57er". i'm not sure if there exist 57er badges. Who should wear such a badge. But for 60p you can't make something wrong. Regards Alex
