Bundeswehr Ordenspange
speedytop replied to ÖSTA's topic in Germany: Post 1945: Bundesrepublik & DDR
Hi Paul, OK. But the Jerusalem Pilgrim's Cross is also an official (Vatican) decoration, number 8 in the decsending order. The payment is a donation, and you must have made one (or more for silver and gold) pilgrimage to Jerusalem. My information is, that this cross is allowed to wear for Bundeswehr soldiers. Uwe -
Bundeswehr Ordenspange

Hi Paul, I don't see there "paid for" medals. All three medals had been officially instituted (gestiftet) and awarded, each with an award document. Only collectors have to pay for it. Uwe -
Hi Chris, as usual : Erinnerungen an unseren geliebten Führer und Kommandeur weiland sr. Kgl. Schauspiel. Viele von ihnen wußten ja oder Uwe PS: I think, that this is the background paper, on that Therese Prinzessin Arnulf v. Bayern answered

Hi Chris and Bernhard, really very hard to read. This is my transcription, but without complete guarantee: 16.12.(1916) Lieber Leutnant Miltern, eben habe ich tief ergriffen, aber innerlich bei allem Mutterschmerz - glücklich die tief rührenden-grundschönen Seiten die Sie Ihrem geliebten Führer gewidmet - vollendet – (G)lücklich, daß mein Sohn das Herz seinem Leibe verband – behalten uns auch ganz besonders daß es uns befüllt – Ja Sie haben recht - so ist er und bleibt bei Ihnen – er führt Sie auf Ferne mit Gottes Hülfe zum Siege! Therese Prinzessin Arnulf v. Bayern Please see here: Therese Heinrich Corrections are welcome. Uwe

Hi, on the Bronze badge is written FLL, and it could be from Friedrich Linden Lüdenscheid. It should be a very early produced badge. Uwe -

Hi, it is the Sprenghandgranate DT41 mit Handgranatenzünder DT32. Produced 1960 (GEF. 60). This was an Austrian made grenade with TNT and additional 250g Beton (concrete). Please see here: http://www.lexpev.nl/grenades/europe/germany/dt41.html Uwe -
Hi Alex, this is definitely not a "57er made grand cross of the Iron Cross", and that is regardless of who made it and when it was made. This has nothing to do with 57er decorations. It is a copy; 1957er decorations are replacement originals. Uwe

And now I found a very old miniature (on ebay). You can see the differences in the small unperforated and the larg perforated crown (picture from Post 15 No. 3): -

Hi WJT, the badge and the cross are nothing special. You can find many combinations between the different veterans organizations, as you can see here: "Deutscher Kriegerbund" and "Deutscher Kriegerverein". There in no correlation possible. The triangle ribbon is also nothing special, you can find that mostly in Austria. I think, that here is nothing to combine especially with your grandfather. Uwe
