    1. Are those enlisted rank patches pre revolution? The reason I ask is the we can see a very heavy American infulence in the insingia.
    2. Would medical fall under the Red color as well?
    3. Thank you for sharing these great artifacts with us. I never heard of this group before this thread.
    4. Can I please see some closeups of the insignia? Are there any holes for awards or Guards Badge? I was able to get a Cuban Guards Badge from a Cuban while serving on a ship in the Gulf of Mexico. How many Guards units are there in Cuba?
    5. Very nice!! Can you tell the Major's career by the color of the shoulder boards, or is this something that is designated on the collar tabs? What type of collar tabs would have been worn on this jacket? Is it current issue? The shoulder boards look identical in construction to what the Soviets used.
    6. That is an amazing collection. I really like the medical display you created. How readily available is this stuff there in South Africa? How do you find most of it?
    7. Its January now... Lets see more of that Major's tunic. Great find! It is the first dress uniform I have seen from this country.
    8. Very nicely done. This is one case where a man's military career is brought to life with a document and a little historical research.
    9. The stars should be 25mm apart. Also, Major and above used the larger stars seen on all of these. Captain and below should be using smaller stars. Naval Medical Officers should have the Red stripe(Green for earlier). The white shoulder boards look like medical(or Naval Infantry) boards for the summer white uniforms. They all look like current issue(post Soviet), where someone added the stars incorrectly(except for the Col).
    10. That is a great looking display. Please do explain the differences in the various types.
    11. That is a sweet set. You are right, I have not seen too many of these at all... especially with the sales card!
    12. It is a real mouthful- Oberbotenmeister beim Reichskriegsgericht. Another name I have found for it is not much better- Reichskriegsgerichtsoberwachtmeister.
    13. What a focused collection. Is that African medal for a South African soldier? I did not know that the British had a special medal for the region.
    14. That there is... Hey! Did you ever make those close up photos of yours, posted in that other thread? I think that they were for Judicial versus Courtsmartial, but still...
