    1. This is an awesome and very historical writeup! Thank you for sharing it. Clearing a mine field seems like a combat operation though. I would have figured that such an even would have warranted a Bronze star(Valor) or higher.
    2. I have not seen anyone parting with one of these for a while now. They are out there and do come up from time to time. Just be careful and post any images here before you buy. There are a lot of tricky repros out there...
    3. Was the brass ring original to the medal? Congrats on such a nice score!! Even these are not easy to find at reasonable prices any more!! :jumping:
    4. It is being considered. I promise!
    5. That they are, Ed! I could not find anything that states that the two medal's order of precedence was ever any different than it is today. Here is the best article I can find on the DSC- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distinguished...(United_States) and the DSM- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distinguished...edal_%28Army%29 They were both authorized on 02Jan1918. Perhaps General MacArthur's made a mistake. It is easy to see where the confusion could come into play.
    6. LOL! Sorry about that!! I misread the question!! It is late here.
    7. I thought that this was a duplicate of Angolia's three volumes condensed into one german language version... Are you telling me that there are differences in the content?!?!
    8. They look like they are either extremely worn RAD Admin tabs or RAD Legal tabs. Both so very rare that if the price is anywhere near what you pay for a set of WH Sonderfuhrer tabs you should do so quickly!
    9. My bad!! Thanks for the correction. Is this the first Fl.Stabsingenieur a.K. photo you have seen?
    10. I will look forward to seeing it!! I have never seen a Soldier's Medal awarded to a foreign military member before!! :jumping:
    11. Anytime my friend!! I figured that it would fit in better with your collection! I have never seen one of this rank before!! I would love to find a tunic with the FP insignia on it (originally of course!).
    12. Awesome stuff Larry!! You would not happen to have seen one of the latter pattern NCO Sonderfuhrer boards, would you?
    13. Where on earth did you find those?! What others were there? I know of medical and veterinary.
    14. That is a great photo!! Thanks for sharing it. I have not seen too many enlisted members with the KVK1!!
    15. I think that it is comical!! The Victory Cross!! hahahaha! I cannot believe that he would award himself a medal with his own portrait on it! I dont think that anyone could get more vain than that!
    16. I got my Public Order medal in 1992 from him for about 85 dollars and the Khasan badge for about the same price. The only reason I decided to get that VERY expensive tinnie is that I thought it was very cool looking and was interested in this "first Soviet Battle of WW2"! I do remember Igor saying that were only a few thousand participants in the Khasan Battle! It is funny how I am making 3-4x what I was making in 92, but would never be able to afford what I have now if I were starting new! Boy am I glad that I did not sell my stuff like I wanted to do back in 1998!!
    17. Some very rare and awesome images from Robert Noss!!! I am always looking for more!! Lets keep them coming! Notice the lack of the NS insignia on the headgear!
    18. It is a beautiful piece!! Here are some photos from Robert Noss!! Check out the dark nebenfarbe on the first(black?)!
