    1. What is that stamp? Regards to the period, they are a great looking set of pins!
    2. I personally know five people in the Coast Guard who have received the Bronze Star for Merit. I wonder how many are out there that I do not know of? Perhaps dozens and dozens!! I am surprised that we(Coast Guard) is not in the stats somewhere. Us Coasties are always left out...
    3. Hero...? Not by me. She did her duty and survived an ambush. She is a war veteran and should be respected for that, but to win a Bronze star for that is totally out of line. It should be revoked.
    4. I can hardly wait to see what everything looks like assembled! I bet that the Fire Police tunic will look very similar to a General Staff tunic of WW2!
    5. Thanks for another great thread!! I had no idea that the Border Guard had medals!!
    6. It is in it's original case?! I have never seen one of those. Can you please show us?
    7. Thanks for the explanation. I remember placing this tunic on the WAF a few years ago. I was told it was some sort or repro(as if anyone would be repro'ing DDR tunics) or messed with piece. I am certainly glad that I kept it! I would love to see the "feldgrau" peices fully badged!! There have to be some examples out there.... somewhere! Paul
    8. It is not a day. I think that it is 30 days consecutive or 60 days non consecutive, like any other campaign medal. Also, the GWOTEM and a campaign medal cannot be earned at the same time. For example, when I was deployed there, I was awarded the GWOTEM. The campaign medal was not even around then. Now if someone is deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, they would be awarded EITHER the campaign medal or the GWOTEM. Not both. In order to get both, the member would have to have two separate deployments. Today, members who deploy get: Campaign medal OR GWOTEM(dependent on Geographical locations) Everyone gets(deployed or not): National Defense GWOTSM Paul
    9. I have also been informed that LW records are not obtainable. Does anyone know what the deal is? They could not have all be destroyed... can they?
    10. WOW!! I bet these looked amazing with all insignia present. I wonder why they are so rare. Is this an example?
    11. That is an attractive looking medal!! BTW, NOAA is a part of the Uniformed Services.
    12. Here is a nice set to a Fl. Hauptingenieur! If anyone has a set of two matching Officer pips, please keep me in mind! Anyway, this set was generously donated to me by a fellow forum member!!! Thank you! Regards Paul
    13. I dont know if the member wants to be recognized publicly or not(some people are funny that way), but I am overwhelmed by his generosity! Thank you so much!! I received these today, via UPS Express free of charge! If anyone has a set of matching pips(2), please send me a PM.
    14. Hi Naoki, It is great to see you again!! I would enjoy seeing the rest of your collection!! Please post here! Paul
    15. That is an amazing set of items!! This is the first Japanese medical kit with contents I have seen!!
    16. Great news!! Bob is back home again!! I look forward to seeing you soon!
    17. You put a lot of time into that website!! It looks great. The waffenfarbe system is intricate! Paul
    18. Another great example! What is the rank equivalent, in US or German terms? What other "waffenfarbe" are there?
    19. Great tunic!! I see why you collect the Finnish uniforms. Are the collar tabs green as well?
    20. That is a powerful one... I wonder about the travels of this wehrpass since the owner's death.
