    1. I have only one of the rocket blitzes. I bet we have enough between us to write a speciality book on the topic!! Paul
    2. I know what you mean. I have the same obsession with LW collar tabs!! With the signals blitzes, I am simply trying to find one of each waffenfarbe! I am still looking for verification on an orange blitz! Regards Paul
    3. I did meet up with you before. It is great to see you here! I am glad that there is no demand for these... except for us! Thank you for the offer. I really like that vivid carmine blitz! Veterinarian NCO? Paul
    4. Now that is a great collection of Blitzes!!! I need to find a construction-bau blitz to finish my collection! I thought that I was the only one who liked blitzes!
    5. Very attractive uniform! I think that the quality is ever better than the Soviet GOs I have seen! Is the ribbon bar sewn on?
    6. Great stuff Ronny! I have never seen half of those makers! I love the Assman!
    7. Hi Mike, By looking at the construction methods, I would not feel that most would would be too difficult to assemble. I am betting the most reliable bars would be the cloth types. I feel that they look better anyway. I do not know of any specific books on DDR Ribbon bars. Do you have some to show us? Paul
    8. Thanks Chris. Do you have any other photos to post(even post war)? I would love to be able to talk to a medical veteran someday... but time is quickly running out. Paul
    9. He definately sounds approachable. Most military doctors I know are very vain as well as "prim and proper". take it he passed away? Did he receive any personal honors(KVK or ect)? What was the highest rank he held?
    10. I wanted to share with you this ribbon bar. As you will notice, the long service ribbons are without devices... Could they be SS, Civil Service, or RAD? I like the bar for the Bulgarian ribbon.
    11. That is a great photo, Chris. What did he do after the war? Open a medical practice?
    12. I thought that this pattern was East German as well. I still see these on ebay for about 20-30 dollars a set. Despite this, please bear in mind that they are real. Regards PAul
    13. I have never seen a cut out TR WB before! Great stuff! An early version at that!
    14. Rick, This is the most AWESOME thing I have seen in a while. WOW
    15. Welcome! I too would love to see your Japanese medical collection. I have never seen such items before. Your medical case is a really unique collection in it's self!
    16. Thanks Dan. I have also posted this document in other forums as well. I will post the findings they came up with. Paul
    17. I received this document. The document is rather large... 8 1/4 x about 12 1/2 inches. What was it awarded for?? It was an Ebay win for 9 Euro! Who's signature is this? Thanks for looking!
    18. That is a great story. He was lucky he was not killed. Where was he held as a POW? Regards Paul
    19. Vince, That is a great photo! Who captured him. Americans or British? Paul
    20. Kevin , Thanks for the information. This is a new one for me. Maybe one of the more experienced WB collectors could help out. I have heard of soldiers removing the paint from the brass Black WBs to give the gold appearance so they could wear it in the field to prevent the loss of their original Gold WB. I love oddities!
