    1. Nice Bar Claudio. It is interesting to see that he kept his Austrian Wound Medal. Where do you find these bars??? What other items were they offering?
    2. Here is what the grouping would look like, it all of it's glory. The Red Star, MM medal, and the Victoryover Germany Medal came from my Abramov grouping(for scanning/display purposes only). I had an extra Stalingrad Medal, that now has a new place in this grouping. The condition of this medal matches that of the ORB! If anyone has an unnumbered MM and an extra Victory over Germany, I might be interested! I unless there in a unissued(un numbered) Red Star out there, that one will have to stay lost. Dave and Rick, Thank you for all of the hard work you put into this for me. I very much appreciate it.
    3. Here is an updated scan with all of the medals he has documented* * The Belgrade medal came with the grouping, yet is not documented. I will see what I can find out on this unit's positions during the war to try and determine if this medal is possible for this officer.
    4. That is a great piece! Thank you for posting it. It is in VERY good condition too.
    5. I know... the time could not have been any better. There would have been a lot of things I would not be able to get now, if I did not get them at the time. On the other hand, I have regrets too. Like buying a Alexander Nevski when they were 250 a piece. Soviet Orders and medals were my first collecting focus. For a while, I never thought that they would take off. I remember putting away my Soviet collection in 1994, and bringing the medals back out in 1998 and 2000 to see that there had been very little change in price. Last year, I checked again and was very shocked!
    6. Wow! Thank you Rick! It would be really something if he was a Korea Vet! What is an Okhrannik ? Is that an elevated rank?
    7. I think that a lot of the Cuban medals were actually made in East Germany.
    8. Scott, That is a beautiful example. I have not seen that pattern before, either. NICE I have only seen one camo example. I hope you find another. I will take some photos of my others tonight. My favorite is a nice bullion droop tail from an NCO Tuchrock. Regards Paul
    9. I thought that these were used above the entrances of Govt buildings?
    10. Very nice and focused collection. I the noncombattant frack bar!
    11. All of that in two years?!?!? Wow! You need to have that screwback order of the red banner researched!!!! Nice Flat back Order of Badge of Honor.
    12. Hi I did not change the ribbons. I think that the new look is from the reflection of the camera flash. Some of them are quite dirty. I have had the medals since 1992. I think that all of the dealers were replacing all of the ribbons that were worn. All of my medals came from Igor M from Atlantic Crossroads before they even went by that name(or even had a published catalog).
    13. That is a good question. I THINK I know that one, yet I will wait for a more experienced member to respond. I think that ALL serving WW2 participants were issued either one of the other.
    14. I used to have one of those posters as well... My ex tossed it during one of our moves. It is nice to know that Igor still carries them. Paul
    15. I would have those researched. Also, are the Patriotic War orders wartime awards or the 1985 versions?
    16. Darrell, The Order of Glory is a valor only award. You cant go wrong there. Are any of the Patriotic war orders, war time issue(not the 1985 issues)? If so, they would be good to research. What is the SN on the Order of the Red Banner? Kevin, I love those posters! How difficult are they to find? Paul
    17. Nice Cross I am sure that I do not need to tell you that you have a nice and rare piece. The only "not so good thought" that I would have is that without it being part of an original mounted medal bar, there is no way to really determine how long the cross and ribbon have been together. Remember... there were only 13,000 NC 1914 EK2 s awarded in WW1 versus the 5,000,000 Combatant versions.
    18. That generation is full of real heros. Thank you for posting the article.
    19. Only medics got this award? What was the award criteria? Is this a valor award was it given for Merit/contribution like the Prussian Red Cross medals?
    20. Kev, Nice helmet!! LOL You guys have some really awesome collections! Darrell, You have amassed a really awesome collection! Have you had any of your groupings researched yet? Dan, Doc, and Kevin, Thank you for showing us your treasures. Some of your displays are really creative! I love those uniforms. Ed, What else do you have in that box of Soviet goodies?
