    1. Rear... Upon closer examination, it looks as if these tabs were at one time attached to a tunic. Very nice set!
    2. There cannot be too many NonCom EK2s from the 1813 period. I cannot wait until you get it. I know that it is only a matter of time!
    3. Rick, How do you do it?! I have never seen a non combatant 1870 and you have one on a bar? That is awesome!!!!
    4. Thanks Dudeman, How can one tell the difference in the two?(WW2 and post war)
    5. Your collection is by no means small!! Very nice! Are there any 1870 s or 1813 s in there? Warm regards Paul
    6. The only problem I would have with cleaning the medals is the potential harm to any of the surrounding finish. It would be too much of a risk as once the damage is done, there is no going back. Your bar has seen a lot of use and exposure, yet it has a certain charm the way it is. Just my two cents. Paul
    7. Jason, Congrats on your medal bar. I always enjoy seeing multiple crosses on a single bar! Paul
    8. Are there any other Guards badges out there? Did nations like N Korea, N Vietnam, and ect have Guards units/badges? Paul
    9. No problem Kevin... I find it odd that this is the only real site that has them for sale?! Although there are a few on Ebay at very reasonable prices... I guess that these were cranked out by the thousands. If I were a betting man, I would count on these being the real deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/A11-Medal-WWII-Allies-...1QQcmdZViewItem
    10. Thank you for your pics, Neil! Very nice major's set! Welcome to the forum!!! Keep 'em coming, guys! Paul
    11. I have never seen these before. What organization do they belong to?
    12. Here is a site that has one for sale. It is on a lt blue ribbon versus the chain yours is on. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the medal or the vendor's reputation, yet he feels that it is worth 114 dollars. It is about halfway down the page. http://www.treasurebunker.com/acatalog/Cat..._Badges_20.html Here is his site. I see a lot of other sites with it listed from 3 to 8 dollars. I assume these to be repros as there are not even any photos on the sites. Regards Paul
    13. When I read my copy of "Comprehesive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals", the reproduction enamaled awards had one thing in common... The red enamal was lighter than normal. If I were to compare this badge to say an Order of the Red Star or Red Banner, I would say that the enamel on this badge is very light in color. Also, the enamel distribution does not look even to me. Based upon this, I would pass on the badge. Just my 2 Rubles Paul
    14. These look to be waffenfarbed for the TSD(Special Services). This are one of the rarer LW waffenfarbes. Suprisingly, they are not as desireable and actually cost less than the very common Flight tabs(yellow). Everyone seems to want the combatant stuff! Nice set! Although I have never seen an evolution in tab contruction in writing, it seems to me that the use of heavy paper/card board started to be used starting around the 1944 time period(unless I am mistaken, the TSD took on the light blue waffenfarbe in 1944. This career field was open only to officer grades). Very nice tabs. I hope to aquire a set of these in the future. Warm regards Paul
    15. Hi Don, The third medal is the Lifesaving medal I so much! The last medal is the Bulgarian Gallantry medal. WOW!!!! Documents too?! That grouping would be worth four times it's weight in gold(to me anyway!) Paul
    16. Oppss... I could not see it(my eyes are not what they used to be...). Very nice!
    17. Very nice Chris A lifesaving medal group!!! Do you have the DKiG as well? This is the largest Lifesaving bar I have seen with total WW2 era medals. Most I have seen had a mixture of medals from WW1 as well! That last medal is the Bulgarian Gallantry Medal. Paul
    18. That would be awesome! Does he live in MA or Maine during the summer. Saco is 10 mins from here!
    19. Thanks for the explaination. I would like to see more pics of the others when you get them!!!
