    1. Beautiful example!! Is it maker marked? Paul
    2. I agree with David. A lot of common issue ribbon combinations were printed onto one larger ribbon. This saved time with ribbon bar assembly. I, for one, find bars like this highly desireable. What is the longest bar that was made from a single ribbon? Do you think that there could be any four or even five place bars printed on one large ribbon? Paul Reck
    3. That is an odd combo... A combatant EK2 and a NONcombatant Hindenburg Cross. How common is this duo? Paul
    4. That is a new approach to evironmental protection!!! Paul
    5. Some of them are pretty scary... Yet most were not. Thankfully, there are a few things they did not get right! (at least in the areas of the Soviet Awards) Paul
    6. Here is the reply... Thanks, no this version is faily common there is no identified maker detlev Thank you all for following this. If this version is a common make, I wonder why so many people have never heard of it?! I know that Detlev is one of the biggest experts in the field and I might just have to go off of sheer faith on this one. Best regards PAul
    7. Who do you get to do your research? Are there firms out there that do this for a living? Regards Paul
    8. LOL! I bet those were some pretty wild looking table cloths!!
    9. Thank you Rick, for sharing some of your expertice with these books and orders. I do have a couple of questions. Why cant Anatoly Yevmenovich Batsenko with all of his civil orders be traced? By the way you write, it sounds like I would not get anywhere with it? I will look at the date of printing for the 1943 book tomorrow. Why are the 1943 books so seemingly rare? How much does it cost to get an order traced? Thanks again Rick!! Warm regards Paul
    10. These medals are shown in this link http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2478 Thank you all and sorry for the last three pics being out of order Best regards Paul
    11. Here is the WW2 Awards page... attempt 2 for the gentleman with 2 red stars
    12. Hi, A lot of my medals and orders I have framed come from documented groupings. In this thread, I will post scans of these books Best regards Paul Reck Order of Lenin
    13. I have an interesting grouping of these medals(order of friendship being one of the orders) belonging to one person. I will scan the book and post it to another thread. Best regards Paul Reck
    14. What are those going for now? Mine did not come with a box though. Did they issue it with a citation paper? Best regards Paul
    15. Very nice collection Darrell. My favorite medal of them all is the Belgrade Medal(I actually have two. One of them is part of a documented grouping). I bet that you are excited about getting yours. A lot of the people who received this medal did not fare so well after the war. The way I understand it is that most of the awardees were partisans who Stalin sent to Siberia. Talk about a slap to the face by a "thankful" government.
    16. Russian black market, maybe! Seriously, I dont know if they are obtainable as I would think that their removal would be part of the de-mil/deactivation process. Even if the primers are not live. I would check with your local law enforcement before I altered these rounds in any way. By the way, I really like how they are so well marked! Nice set! Do you have any other ordinance? Best regards Paul
