    1. My thoughts exactly... This is why it cannot be a Wartime Official, IMHO. Perhaps some early equivalent or early Admin paygrade?
    2. I dont think that this one could ever be disputed! Congratulations!
    3. Now that is a beauty! I have never seen such a bright silver wreath!
    4. Great job Riley! I like these medals a lot as well. I too was wondering about the maximum number of wounds possible on a medal. Paul
    5. Good God!! Where are you keeping all of this stuff! Your collection is absolutely amazing.
    6. PM Sent! LOL Most likely some prewar branch of Admin? Or unfinished tabs?
    7. I would say that Ed and Christian have very nice and mind blowing collections! Ed, I always enjoy seeing your additions. The Red Banner of Labor for the teacher is most impressive. I love the photo in her award booklet.
    8. Dave, That is a wonderful series of photos. Can you make larger more detailed scans of each? I want to see the insignia/uniforms clearer!
    9. I think that this is my favorite medal of all awarded by the Soviets. Congratulations on finding one!
    10. Exactly, Rick! I think that it is MOST LIKELY a period performed item. I think that it is an interesting piece and would love to see the rest of it. After all, I would assume that "gems" that size are not a standard. They seem as if they were made for the sword as they fit in very nicely.
    11. I heard that the WW1 Victory medals for Japan are among the rarest. Is this true?
    12. Great stuff guys!! It is interesting to see that the KM TSD-Judicial used the wine red waffenfarbe! That is one ultra rare board. Keep it coming!
    13. I have never seen such beautiful awards! My favorite is the Order of the Central Asian Geographic Society. I wish our nation had such imagination with our medals!
    14. Hardy, How in the heck did my post card become an exact copy of one of your German photos? My post cards were brought back in 1918 by my great grandfather. STRANGE?!?! :speechless1:
    15. Hey David, I read the information on the link. It stated that: The 107th Sanitary Train was formed from Wisconsin Ambulance Companies Nos. 1 and 2, Michigan Ambulance Company No. 2, Wisconsin Field Hospitals Nos. 1 and 2 and Michigan Field Hospital No. 1. The bag stated that his company was the 125th? Regards Paul
    16. That side of the family grew up in Louisiana...(Grandfather was recruited in the Navy from New Orleans), but I think he may have come from another state... There is a letter he sent to his "soon to be Mrs. G..." who was residing in a different state. I have duty, but I will check that address again when I get home tomorrow. Thanks Rick and David for the information on the Train. I figured it was a literal train...
    17. Thanks for all the kind words. I feel lucky to be the deposit for the family's wealth of militaria. I will be adding some medals, uniforms, a WW1 1911 pistol and an M1 Carbine very soon.
    18. Thanks Rick! I really like it a lot too. The shoulder strap is a nice touch! I had no idea that these were faked! Are they rare and highly desired these days? Is there any known history on the specific unit? I would be great to know where it was toward the end of the war as well as any other tid bits of information.
    19. I was thinking along the same lines... But... he is a Civilian test pilot, right?
    20. Very nice!! I do not know much about WSS. What do the cyphers on the shoulder boards represent?
    21. That is one outstanding grouping, Christian!! For me, the highlight is the Korean Medal!
