      That last medal is not supposed to be a War Merit Cross. Someoneplaced the wrong pendant. I think that the medal pendant is supposed to be the Kyffhauserbund medal. These medals are inexpensive to find, so it is an easy fix.

      Ed, I love that Imperial 1813 bar!! It is amazing. Scott, That must be the oldest recipient of a combattant 1914EK2!! I am assuming that he was a doctor? Here is my favorite bar. It is not grandiose in size, but it is a "Cadillac" piece to me!

      And these were only for the LW Fire Dept (Hauptbrandmeister)!!! (as far as I know... I am going by memory right now because I am stuck on base).

      That is a very unfortuate story. I sure hope that these men get the recognition they most certainly deserve. I find it shameful that Ireland could turn their back to these veterans, especially for 40+ years.

      I agree! Seriously, from everything I have learned from all of you, the absence of an HK would be a huge red flag. The ribbons look like they have been with the bar for a long time, as the wear and the oxidation present on both the ribbon and the support seem to match. Although, it looks like someone removed the ribbons, placed the device(s), then replaced them onto the bar?

      You are the definite authority on German Chaplain Corps!! Your TS insignia are definitely the find of the year!! I noticed that one set is violet and the other two are black. What does this indicate? Can you please make a closeup scan of the cards that are attached to the insignia? The Luftwaffe used Heer Chaplains. I am confused about your statement, Naoki

      Thanks Eric, Rick was able to make out more of the writing. "First pair Spiegel f?r Reichsluftaufsicht f?r Justizwachtmeister (it says Justizwachtrmstr on the envelope) second is the same for Oberjustizwachtmeister Reichsluftaufsicht is air traffic controil, so they must have had the same tabs and had different BOARDS?"
