    1. I think that it is good! I given one just like it from a U-Boat crewman a few years ago. Definately a centerpiece article!
    2. This medal looks to be a nice original! I believe that there were several makers for this medal.
    3. Awesome! I have not seen too many documented cases of enlisted personel(especially Infantry) being awarded the KVK1!!! Thanks for sharing your grouping! Paul
    4. Agreed! Splendid grouping! What cannot make out what other awards he received. Can you please list them? That Kurland title is something special. Did this grouping come from the veteran himself or from his family member? Paul
    5. Hi Nice score of trade badges. As far as I know, these are not widely faked. Prices seem to vary greatly, depending who is selling them. The average price range I have seen for these are around 15 dollars. Dealers tend to sell them for a bit higher. I actually got my best deals for these off of Ebay.
    6. Order of Victory, Thank you for posting your books. I have never seen an original before(documents for this award) yet yours definately look the part! Both of mine have a screwback post with a nut!
    7. I love your set!!! Congrats on finding it. Those Gilt KM buckles are very hard to find.. they are often more expensive than SS buckles. Good luck on finding one. If I come across one, I will let you know! Regards Paul
    8. It seems to be a commemorative tinnie made to be sold to tourists. The value money wise, is minimum... Regards Paul
    9. Hi Gary, I thought that he was referring to the secondary waffenfarbe used in shoulder boards for a breif amount of time! I will have to check this evening... Paul
    10. Are those older WW1 G98 Rifles or do they have fixed bayonets in the photo? So they are looking for a deserted flyer? I bet that he is serious trouble!! Paul
    11. Hi Gary, I did a Quick scan of the books last night and I could not find anything referencing a black administrative tab. Do you remember where you saw that one mentioned?
    12. I can definately see the appeal with the early 57 awards! The detail and quality of the WB is awesome!! PAul
    13. Nice Bars Grant!! I like the bar with the 1962 Flood Service medal. Do you have any bars with a combination of Bundeswehr medals and TR? I love seeing mixed bars like that!! Paul
    14. Hi Gary, I wil get into more details later... 1. But the only waffenfarbes I know of (off the top of my head) are: Admin- Dark Green (available... dependant on level and rank) Air Traffic Control- Light green(Scarce) Judical- Wine Red(Most difficult to find and VERY expensive) 2. You are correct about the tab pipings in relation to the four levels. Each level does have a lowest as well as highest obtainable rank. Again, I will have to consult my books later. 3. It is possible for some ranks to be equal amoung the various levels... for example, it is possible to see a Lt ranking in the Highest level and in the Elevated level. The example you gave with the Major is a correct one. There is even a Reserve Administrative tab that I saw in vol 2! (with blue secondary piping) that I never knew existed! I would love to find one of those! I beleive that the Admin field could be a collecting focus of it's own! There are tons!
    15. Indeed... an interesting collection! What ribbons are on the front of the "US Flag"? Paul
    16. How are you doing this! Another great find!!! Nice job! Paul
    17. Nice!! I have never seen a removable spange before!!
    18. Those are some good repros! A couple of them would have me fooled... Thank you for the picks. What about these make them fake? Do you know any information on these? REgards Paul
    19. Dave and Wild Bill, Your groupings are awesome!! I have never seen a bar with BOTH classes of the Partisan medal! The photo is awesome! I bet not many people would have posed for a photo(the group photo) back then... just imagine if it had fallen into the wrong hands!
    20. Hi Pikestaff Welcome to the forum! I would love to see close ups of both front and back of each of the tabs! They seem to be very good repros!!! Do you have any background on them(where they were made, who distributes them to dealers, etc) Thank you again for your contribution to this thread Regards Paul
