    1. That first ribbon looks much older than the other. Look at the tattered edges. They are the same medal. This does not seem like it is all that uncommon, as we are looking at two photographs from one source?
    2. Thanks JapanX! It would be awesome to find a researched ORBL. Here are some more images.
    3. Yes. This is the Labor Victory Medal booklet that came with the Victory Over Germany Medal Booklet. Any insight on this would be appreciated.
    4. Here is another huge one I just received the other day, as a nice gift. What does the extra blue stripe mean?
    5. That is a wonderful top shelf Bravery Medal. I am definitely envious! Congrats.
    6. Would such a junior officer have so many schools? The surface fleet badge is way too long to fit.
    7. What kind of badge do I have on there? The holes are side by side. I think that that two diamond badges could fit side by side without rubbing. Paul
    8. Hi Rick The buttons say 1987. All of them. Thank you Ricky!! I am so excited.
    9. I just received these booklets in the mail the other day. I paired them up with medals that I had in my collection. I am glad that I am able to finally pair up the double medal grouping with a book(Labor Victory and Victory Over Germany).
    10. I received these flags, with a lot of other items, from a friend of mine who recently retired from the Coast Guard. He knows that I collect this stuff and that I would give it a good home. The first flag is HUGE. It is about seven feet by five. It think that it is for the Commandant of the Naval Forces. There are signs that it has been flown before and the lanyard area is heavily worn. There are no markings. Also, I have two pennants. The first (dark Blue) is for Axillary Ships and the Red one is for regular naval craft. All I need is a green one for the Naval Border Guard. Special thanks to my wife, HoydenR, who took these great photos for me.
    11. I received this uniform, with a lot of other items, from a friend of mine who recently retired from the Coast Guard. He knows that I collect this stuff and that I would give it a good home. With this lot, came the flag in the background. He picked it up in 1987, during some joint operations. The uniform is for a Senior Lt. There were two holes for badges in the jacket, so I added the academy badge, which I believe my be for medical. It is the only jetton I have, so it is for display only. Also, the hat is for a much more senior officer, so is not a good match, but good enough for a basic display. Special thanks to my wife, HoydenR, who took these great photos for me as well as translated the badge(Kirov Medical School). She is learning Russian now and uses my stuff for practice.
    12. I received this uniform, with a lot of other items, from a friend of mine who recently retired from the Coast Guard. He knows that I collect this stuff and that I would give it a good home. With this lot, came the flag in the background. This uniform is the white working uniform. It is a thick canvas material Special thanks to my wife, HoydenR, who took these great photos for me. Does anyone else have any of these in their collection?
    13. Hello, I received this uniform, with a lot of other items, from a friend of mine who recently retired from the Coast Guard. He knows that I collect this stuff and that I would give it a good home. With this lot, came the flag in the background. Anyway, I would love your thoughts on this set. He picked it up in 1987, during some joint operations. The ship's badge states the sailor was from the Guided Missile Cruiser, Kirov! Cool Stuff! The strange patch is on the sleeve. Any ideas? Special thanks to my wife, HoydenR, who took these great photos for me. She freaks out every time I try to take quick pics with my cell phone for posting.
    14. That is a great hat device. It is worn on the overseas hat(in the CG, it is called a "Garrison Cover"). It is also worn on the ballcaps. It is for the rates of Seaman Recruit through Seaman (E1 through E3). These are still in use today.
    15. Matthew! Thank you so much. I really appreciate the images. They do help a lot. Most likely, I will need to get the gilt silver version of the Crown Order if it is an original. I am sure that it will be much less expensive than the solid gold version.
    16. I really like that tunic a lot. It is a real looker. Congrats to you on this one.
    17. Now that is really attractive. I have never seen one this early before. The grade of Chief Petty Officer was established by the US Navy in 1893 (1920 for the Coast Guard). These early pieces are very rare. Congrats!
