Thanks for posting your "wavy" Signals piece Joe (although it looks like a red Flak piece on my monitor). I have the yellow wavy Fliegertroope flag. Any ideas on how many were in the wavy flag series? Paul, I found the three I posted above at last year's SOS, and there were plenty to choose from for $10-20 each - something I can still afford! Jacques, Because he earned the Cruz de Guerra, did that make him ineligible for the Red Military Service Cross? Could a person not earn both? Just curious. Scott

Great photos as always Jacques. I assume the ribbon in the center of the bar is for the Memel medal? Also interesting that his Spanish ribbons have what appear to be two different sword types on them. Scott

For reference, here's a dark blue LDO Civil Service box (paper hinge, no clasp). The interior is much too small for a EK or KVK. Scott

The round medal on the ribbon is the campaign medal for combatants, and the breast star is the Spanish combat merit badge (Al Merito En Campana), both issued by Nationalist Spain at the conclusion of their civil war in 1939. Scott
